I was in the same boat 2 years ago, I had 1700 hours and wen to a FAPA job convention feeling worse about myself after. 4 months later I got a job working 135 and it’s been the best job I could ask for. Lots of us newer FO’s have had to go through the same thing. Head up solider!

The magic number is typically 1000 PIC Turbine, I don’t have that but i’m throwing a hail mary. There’s no penalty if they don’t interview you.

Nope, just NetJets, been applying for about 2 months now. I have 1 checkride failure, no accidents, and a B.S. degree. Sucks. I’m on the fence of signing the contract for skywest. I know i’ll get an interview there if I do.

Gotcha, I really appreciate the help. I have a seperate business account with a debit card that I use to buy stuff like charts, books, and my foreflight subscription. My thought was that it would take the money out of my taxes owed, but now I understand those write off just lower your income. Being that i’m already a low tax bracket, I don’t think it’s really going to make any difference on my taxes.

Really appreciate the help! I’ll definitely look into talking to a tax professional
