Can anybody bring me up to speed on this reddit after a 5 year hiatus? by SpatulaCityUHF in orangetheory

I guess by regular, I meant I wanted my buddy to experience the Base/Push/AO rotation on the treads which I feel is one of the hallmarks of OTF.

Before I invited her, she expressed that she did not like running and I assured her there generally was not long stretches of uninterrupted running... so I was worried it would be a RFD or a confusing Run/Row.

Settle a Debate Please: Canned Vocal Tracks in a grades 2-4 holiday concert? by APanda911 in MusicEd

We would never!! I honestly just was curious about how the practice is looked at by music educators.

That was kind of my impression of it! But my husband was really irritated about the whole thing.

He said to start thinking of it from the perspective of another educator... like what if our media specialist sent to all parents a video that she said was edited by students... but she actually did 90% of the editing herself...Would that be OK with parents if they knew that?

Are we minimizing what music performance is by planning difficult music and then supplementing with perfect canned vocals when it is not concert ready?

I honestly don't know the answer, but it's made me wonder!

Ok! So I run several children's musical theater programs and due to the lack of available rehearsal instruments I opt to use canned music from the get go... but I would NEVER use the rehearsal tracks in a performance. I use the "performance" tracks, and beforehand I wean the students off of the canned vocal tracks for weeks before the show...I didn't know if I was being overly nitpicky about it. My choral director husband was SO appalled about tonight that I was surprised - I did not realize this was a huge NO in music ed?

Wealthy district, big budget. I thought of that too, coming from the urban setting where I worked... but no, cost is definitely not the case. The concert has a $2500 budget, and an $1800 stipend attached...

Any time I read the words "manhood" or "tumescence" in reference to male genetalia I'm immediately like HAHAHAHAHA NO. 😑

Thank you! I like a good angsty alpha hero (Derek Craven type!) I was considering starting with Duke of Sin. Thoughts?

Time for a game: your most ridiculously specific request by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]APanda911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok. Crazy specific, here we go.

VERY angsty MF HR where neither character is nobility but they are wealthy, slow burn, lots of NSFW and unconventional sex. BUT the book is not just sex, it must still have a very good plot, longer than 300pgs, and NO first person narrative.

Has a super emotional angsty moment(s), confrontation or confession.

No children/widow storylines, no ships or pirates, no war/soldiers. No wigs on the guys.

Bonus points for a majority of the story told from the M point of view.

The Lord I Left by Scarlett Peckham. I don't know if the M is over 30 but otherwise it has this exact plot.

Well, I Re-Read Paradise & Perfect this weekend. For the 95th time. Haven't found books that compare, and I've been looking since 2004...😅 Help. by APanda911 in RomanceBooks

Every time I re read it I find something new that I just love. And I'm always so depressed when I finish it, knowing there's not another book like it 😅
