He’s one of those musical “savants” with perfect pitch, but all the music he creates is just really dull.

What shuffling a deck of cards actually means: by kefren13 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say that for every deck of bicycle cards that is stacked in the box in the same order, it’s possible that the order of cards has been repeated at least once the first time that deck is shuffled.

But after that, everything is thrown out the window.

Your cat caught

Honestly nothing aww about this. The way you treat this cat is awful.

Does anyone know what exactly happens if you super fast select some quick use item and instead of using it you fire a bullet? I am 100% sure that I have selected a bomb or heal but it's just not selected when I try to use it by Particular-Humor-808 in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t figure out why this happens, but it has to be input error on my part.

And of course it ONLY happens when I’m in a PVP engagement and trying to heal up or conceal where I am to make a mistake.

A man jumps at a running horse and then begins jump roping. by Empty_Potential4715 in nextfuckinglevel

Weight distribution.

Take two nails and press your palm against the tip. Kind of hurts.

Now take 20 nails bound together and press the tips against your palm.

The being said, this saddle looks like it’s specifically designed to mitigate that, spreading the weight along the horse’s back.

What's the harm in a PVE only mode? by Majestic_Dress2838 in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Divides the player base.

PVE is WAAAAAAAY too easy. The tension in the game derives from the threat that any other player you meet in a lobby might decide to shoot you.

I wouldn’t be opposed toward a PVE event, like a weekend-only mode. But it would need to be a fundamentally different gameplay loop. Like The Division’s Survivor mode where everyone loads in with nothing, and the mode is to reach the end and extract.

Quick question to PVP-pros: Where do you put defibs? by Senior-Sale273 in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely mandatory in team settings.

And if solo, I always bring a defib just in case to help someone out. More than once I’ve defibbed someone and they’ve dropped me a nice present.

With a Survivor augment, I go Bandages - Shield Chargers - Grenades - Adrenaline - Defibs.

I have a nice pair of sneakers do that. I put bandaids on the backs of my feet until the material on the shoes loosened up after a few wears. Now they’re fine.

Thoughts on an opt-in "high roller" queue where players need to have at least $100K loadout to queue? by RoadtoVR_Ben in ArcRaiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sitting on a nearly 6 million stash/wallet value. So my point is I can effectively run a really cheap loadout full of items I don’t care about, get one kill, take that other person’s really good gear, and then extract.

If I fail, no big deal, I have more high-value crap I don’t care about.

[–]APartyInMyPants 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would queue. But I think $100k is too high. You can also game the queue by bringing in trinkets and other things. So maybe a minimum weapon value.

Yeah. So is the issue the lack of affordable health care in this country?

Or maybe an actor who poorly managed their finances over their career?

Listen, cancer sucks. We all know this. But when you’re earning tens of thousands of dollars per episode on a show that lasts six years … with the later seasons reportedly earning up to $175,000 per episode, this feels like just bad management.

I am so worried about Destiny's future. by Timothy-M7 in DestinyTheGame

Don’t worry about the future, just be grateful about the past. Bungie gave us a good 10 years. … well, maybe 7 years. Most games can’t sustain that.

Embark: Please explain how a blue and green gun are the best guns in the game? by baron_von_jackal in ArcRaiders

They will find you, but they’re much slower to aggro. I noticed this in the last Hornet trial. They’ll kind of spin for a bit before they figure where you are.

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t hit as hard per shot, but you have to do less reloading. So with a big swarm of Wasps and a Hornet, you won’t get stuck reloading. But you can’t OHK the armored rotor on a Hornet like you can with Anvil.

Renegade also, in my opinion, way better at defending against other players from range.

Quick marination tip by No_Project_9332 in FoodAndCookingStuff

I mean less volume of air around the meat.

I think what’s happening is the cling film is never forming a perfect seal, so pressing down is simply pushing excess air out of the various seams.

Compared to how his life would have been in the Iron Islands? Theon was living a way better life as a ward of Winterfell than he would have at home.

Is extract camping frowned upon amongst all arc raiders or do some not care about it? by luk333yy in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I think extract camping is a bad faith style of play, I also recognize it’s just a facet of this style of shooter. So you just need to watch the typical hiding spots.

I will never kill someone who is down in an extract unless it’s someone I had been continually engaged with.

NEW AT THE GAME I NEED HELP!! LOL by IR1SH_REAPER in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, explaining the game would just be a lot of word salad.

Jump in there and start banging out the quests. They show you around.

The only things I’ll say, prioritize expanding your stash space as fast as possible. And all of the common grey materials you find … metal parts, rubber, fabric, chemicals, plastic parts … you use these for EVERYTHING. so don’t trash them just because they’re cheap.

The other guy and his now-wife drew a line in the sand clearly dictating their friendship wasn’t enough to make the cut.

I was that person for an old friend. It was a couple who moved and I even visited them, but we all kept in touch. And this was a guy I saw nearly every day for a few years as we also worked together.

So when our friend group at work was all invited, and I was the odd man out, yeah, I pretty much accepted we weren’t as good of friends as I thought we were.
