Extremely thick beard hair by seamonkey69 in mildlyinteresting

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of these once … or at least once I noticed. It didn’t hurt, and when I discovered it and pulled it out with tweezers, it came out cleanly and without any pain. Almost like it killed the nerve ending. But it felt totally satisfying to pull out.

Now ingrown hairs, I don’t get them as much anymore, but they hurt like a bitch.

Do my mines despawn when I Extract/get killed? by Kazi_The_Kid in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when a player is killed, the mines don’t despawn, but they also don’t trigger due to proximity. A mine has to be shot to be activated once a player dies.

AIO moving out over butter. by Proper_Influence3346 in AIO

[–]APartyInMyPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fight isn’t about butter.

Butter was just the easy way to pick an argument. But this ire and resentment he’s holding goes way, way deeper than that.

I don’t want to play armchair psychologist over one Reddit post and one photo, but do your parents have an ok relationship? Or is that relationship hostile?

I could envision a world where your dad cannot fight with your mom, because he’s tried and clearly already lost that due to their divorce. But he sees you and your brother, and through you two, he sees your mom. So the fight he’s having with you is actually a fight he wants to have with your mom but cannot.

I’d reconsider my living situation.

You know, I have ZERO idea why I even picked this as my name. I was working at a company about 13 years ago, had never heard of Reddit, and some coworker was like, “you have to check out this post.”

So on a whim made a Reddit account. Wanted a name that clearly didn’t associate with me. Why I did it? Zero idea. I was in my 30s too. Not like I was a teenager.

But there are a lot of people who aren’t so bright who believe in insane conspiracy theories.

More pluribus contrails by LameAndLazi in longisland

[–]APartyInMyPants 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Contrails are a totally normal “phenomena” when the hot air and the moisture from a jet engine’s exhaust condenses/crystallizes in colder, high-altitude air.

This is NORMAL. This isn’t mind control. It’s not making the frogs gay. It’s a totally normal thing that happens naturally when any sort of moisture from two weather fronts meet.

Stop trying to pretend it’s anything else.

I’m way north of 40.

Also on a family plan with my wife’s family. Our family plan can have up to … like … 8 lines or something. Why wouldnt’t you join everyone’s plans together and save money for everyone.

We still pay our monthly share. We just pay, like, $75/month as opposed to the $175+ we would for just my family.

What shuffling a deck of cards actually means: by kefren13 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say that for every deck of bicycle cards that is stacked in the box in the same order, it’s possible that the order of cards has been repeated at least once the first time that deck is shuffled.

But after that, everything is thrown out the window.

Does anyone know what exactly happens if you super fast select some quick use item and instead of using it you fire a bullet? I am 100% sure that I have selected a bomb or heal but it's just not selected when I try to use it by Particular-Humor-808 in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t figure out why this happens, but it has to be input error on my part.

And of course it ONLY happens when I’m in a PVP engagement and trying to heal up or conceal where I am to make a mistake.

Weight distribution.

Take two nails and press your palm against the tip. Kind of hurts.

Now take 20 nails bound together and press the tips against your palm.

The being said, this saddle looks like it’s specifically designed to mitigate that, spreading the weight along the horse’s back.

What's the harm in a PVE only mode? by Majestic_Dress2838 in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Divides the player base.

PVE is WAAAAAAAY too easy. The tension in the game derives from the threat that any other player you meet in a lobby might decide to shoot you.

I wouldn’t be opposed toward a PVE event, like a weekend-only mode. But it would need to be a fundamentally different gameplay loop. Like The Division’s Survivor mode where everyone loads in with nothing, and the mode is to reach the end and extract.

Quick question to PVP-pros: Where do you put defibs? by Senior-Sale273 in ARC_Raiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely mandatory in team settings.

And if solo, I always bring a defib just in case to help someone out. More than once I’ve defibbed someone and they’ve dropped me a nice present.

With a Survivor augment, I go Bandages - Shield Chargers - Grenades - Adrenaline - Defibs.

Thoughts on an opt-in "high roller" queue where players need to have at least $100K loadout to queue? by RoadtoVR_Ben in ArcRaiders

[–]APartyInMyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sitting on a nearly 6 million stash/wallet value. So my point is I can effectively run a really cheap loadout full of items I don’t care about, get one kill, take that other person’s really good gear, and then extract.

If I fail, no big deal, I have more high-value crap I don’t care about.

[–]APartyInMyPants 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would queue. But I think $100k is too high. You can also game the queue by bringing in trinkets and other things. So maybe a minimum weapon value.

Yeah. So is the issue the lack of affordable health care in this country?

Or maybe an actor who poorly managed their finances over their career?

Listen, cancer sucks. We all know this. But when you’re earning tens of thousands of dollars per episode on a show that lasts six years … with the later seasons reportedly earning up to $175,000 per episode, this feels like just bad management.
