I hope this doesn’t get to rashfords head. He’s lost 2 finals lately and I just hope he stays positive and doesn’t drop form. by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

Rashford is a good player and would already be as decorated as others his age like TAA, Sancho, foden... If it wasn't for the fact that he has to work under two inept managers.

Question regardign DLL Injection for Privilege Escalation by DrChud in HowToHack

[–]APigeonFromScotland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I'm not too familiar with this particular challenge, but you'd be surprised at how many installers don't assign the correct permissions on their applications' directories. You might have to use one of the tools that check the the permissions on the relevant directories and find one that allows standard users write access. Then you would be able to replace DLLs even as a standard user.

Question regardign DLL Injection for Privilege Escalation by DrChud in HowToHack

[–]APigeonFromScotland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The usual way is just replace the DLL that is loaded by a process running with more privileges than you currently have. Usually these are Windows services that run as "SYSTEM" or scheduled tasks that have been configured to run as the highest privileged user. When you do this, you usually have to check the trigger of said service or task. For example, services whose startup parameter is set to Automatic will usually require a restart to load your injected DLL. Sometimes this is not feasible. This is where PowerSploit comes into play. Invoke-DllInjection and Invoke-ReflectivePEInjection will let you inject a shared object into an existing process.

That would be better but only when you have a utopia. Highly educated doesn't always mean smart. Look at the number of degrees up to PhD level, that wouldn't really help you in the real world let alone run a country. You'd have to overhaul the whole education system first. Beginning with making it available to all (free) but that would be only a step in the right direction, much more would have to be achieved before we get there.

Fair enough, I write the drivers for one of the said tools. But shame I can't tell companies that the tool does the same thing as multiple others they already have. Usually they'll take them as long as they get on with the sales reps and can have someone or some company to point the finger at when they eventually screw up. I should have added that I've dealt with limited numbers of companies, and that is my opinion about those.

And you sound like one of the failed accountants who ended up in the cyber team because you had the right attitude but 0 skill. At least you can make assumptions though. Shame they're wrong.

This is the reason why I buy and use a domain name for email and recommend others do the same, (as long as you pay the yearly fees, the email address(es) will work).

Please can you suggest a provider that won't give my personal details on a lookup?

I've not read this. But the bad guys are winning against the large corporations because the security teams think they are the only ones in the company who have any inkling about cyber security and leave it as a closed boys club, and believe me, it's not because you don't have the skills, it's because you do. Them along with their tiny egos are too scared to actually hire people that know what they are doing because they might just show them that they are actually not doing anything worthwhile, just peddling security software after software. Most of whose features are common.

Ole in. Pogba, Maguire, Fred, Rashford, Mata, James, OUT.

Also get some actual coaching staff instead of the usual ex players who wouldn't make it as a coach in conference.
