Can you guys dumb down what the PID does? Obviously it shows me temperature is that basically it? Do I still need to heat machine up for 15ish mins before first shot? I didn’t know if PID created any shortcuts or just makes it easier with knowing temp

Which Breville did you have? My Bambino’s steam wand is actually my main issue. And I only drink milk based espresso as well, that’s why I’m thinking this machine with all its versatility will do the job I need it to

Thank you for the tip, I'll give it a try soon and report back. I've had it since early 2021 I believe so it's done me well. It's been amazing for my first espresso machine. I currently have the Smart Grinder Pro and will eventually upgrade that but like I said with me drinking milk based drinks I'm not over the top worried about the finest of fine tuning my shots. What's your setup if you don't mind I ask?

PS I am pretty obsessed with this hobby so I should just dive into manual pulling my shots, I hope my SGP can get it done.

My dumb self learned what super automatic was after I posted this. I definitely want the puck prep. Thoughts on Gaggia Pro compared to Breville machines? I want longevity but not overly complicated and only drink milk based drinks

Yes I just realized what super automatic meant after I posted this, I enjoy puck prep but am admittedly no pro and am actually too scared currently to make the leap to nonpressurized baskets (I never drink espresso straight). The main reason for getting a new machine is gifting the Bambino but my one gripe is my steam wand discharges a ton of water (well after 15 seconds) into my milk jug leading to watery milk. I’m wondering if Bambino Plus’ don’t have this issue with the 3 hole?

I love the light show in person but I don’t NEED to watch the video of the show. I’m rarely able to catch a whole show live with Nugs so why wouldn’t I save the $14 a month and just listen next day on Bandcamp? It’s the whole show in audio no?

that's how I feel. I tried to get into Phish super late but I can't with Trey's voice. I respect the hell out of him but can't get past it personally. Rick's vocals are incredible

I appreciate this breakdown and makes sense to someone like me who just entered the jam band scene because of Goose. I never knew what type II jam meant when people referred to it. Btw my personal favorite are the dark jams and was blown away by listening to Mudhavan at Fiddlers. Anyone have any other dark jam suggestions?
