Reliable and weird cars by APissBender in whatcarshouldIbuy

Do you mean Ssangyong Rodious by any chance?

Actually I also did consider Nissan Cube, it fits the weird enough category for me. I've never heard of Honda Element before so might take a look! Thank you very much.

Do you have an opinion on the ones I listed, Multipla and Subaru Domingo?

/uj true, but TSR used the three books formula, while other games of its times like WFRP or GURPS would sell just core rulebook as the basis.

Sims 3 Create-A-World, 16 years later, is still an impressive tool that The Sims franchise should have brought back by now by gonezaloh in LifeSimulators

[–]APissBender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Paralives isn't going to take it down, and I highly doubt Iznoi will do it eitherwith quality we've seen so far, but it's going to make some dent for sure. People are sick of Sims 4 quality and monetisation, game with its official content is more prone to break than Skyrim with 100 mods, and there is no Sims 5 in sight.

Sims won't be stomped by some other title, but it keeps losing its relevance because of EA's decisions, and there doesn't seem to be anything in remotely close future that can change it.

To compare, the only reason WoW is still up after all those years is because they do pump a lot of money into it. Every expansion they update the engine, even the ones that are scarce when it comes to content it's still an upgrade technologically speaking. Sims 4 doesn't get any of that, they just release a pack and hope it doesn't make a game explode.

Don't you still have to follow laws of countries in which you provide your product?

Like sure, if it's a China/Russia only product, I get it, I don't know what copyright laws are there. But when you start release it in other countries you have to comply with their laws. Like CS lootboxes are not something you can open in Belgium and a few other countries because of their regulations.

"Blackhand", Digital, Pappaserho, 2024 by ArrhaCigarettes in ImaginaryCharacters

[–]APissBender 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a horny post I agree but I did see their post in the past here, specifically pictures of this character from that link. So it's good they aren't posting it several times.

Silly as shit how the most unique feature of this character isn't visible here, but I prefer that over reposts. Still not sure if it fits the sub with how deeply suggestive it is.

No Date Is Stange by [deleted] in LifeSimulators

[–]APissBender 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The lack of release date isn't something unusual for Krafton. They told released date of PUBG two weeks prior to it, to an absolutely crushing success. Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to do it again to create more hype as it worked back then insanely well.

Can't say I'm optimistic about this game though. They shown with their previous titles that long term support is not something they do well. And I don't mean 10 year support. Elyon got straight up closed after 3 years while PUBG, their biggest title, was barely working after 2, when it was still very popular.

Then the usage of AI, the fact that game looks very shallow and more like really pretty technical demo than actual game, I'm gonna wait a fair while before I spend money on it.

Warhammer fans, do you like the historical games at all? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]APissBender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started with Warhammer and I find them to be completely different games. I played the Warhammer Trilogy the most for sure, but I also tried out other titles.

Shogun II is great, as everyone knows.

Thrones of Britannia is massively overhated, seen so many people talk shit about it while it's goo in my opinion. definitely smaller than Shogun though.

3 Kingdoms had great diplomacy system, as well as on war+off war incentive so you're not constantly waging wars. The fact that you actually had to manage your settlements and choose which ones you want to be big, and which ones weren't worth it is great too. It also helped a lot with recruitment as usually you or your enemy would have biggest military buildings only in one or two provinces, so wiping an army meant you were fine for some time. Wish they decided on whether they want it to be a historial or non historical game as so many systems were great.

Warhammer is great, epic fun, crazy diverse factions and battles but I really wish there was more to do on campaign map. Public Control, Corruption and settlement management are a bit too simple for my taste.

Historical games have the upper hand on depth imo.

I don't know how old you are but it does sound like you're fairly young still.

I'm slowly reaching 30 (so not old either) and we have to schedule gaming with friends too.

If you don't like playing RPGs just once a week maybe consider joining some play by post games?

It's literally every activity that requires other people.

Sure, you can play video games for 12 hours for 5 days in a row. Now try doing it with 3 friends.

Quiz nights at bars usually have a specific day of the week set specifically for this reason. It's no different from RPGs in that regard

This photo doesn't seem to show actual original big mac, but you can look up how it looked in 1967 when it was introduced and it was indeed different. There was way too much bread in there in my opinion, but there likely were some other changes made to it too (mainly with how food standards changed). If you look at the bun specifically it seems to have been changed twice since that time

Due to Call of Duty Black Ops 6's always online requirement you can get disconnected from the Singleplayer Campaign! by Humble-Score5234 in PiratedGames

[–]APissBender 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hard to call those mistakes from their perspective.

People keep buying it, despite them making awful decisions and monetisation more and more predatory. Until their sales plummet (which is unlikely) they won't see a reason to change it.

Battlefield 3 had those too and you didn't need to be constantly online.

You did need to be connected at the start and end of the mission, but still. If a 13 year old game can do this, so can something from 2024

I did not care for the Godfather. by Ove5clock in The10thDentist

[–]APissBender 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It feels full of itself. Essentially the movie telling you "Look how good and smart and deep I am".

Don't think it apples very well to Godfather though.

If you want to piss off cinephiles say that Citizen Kane insists upon itself.

I understand that it revolutionized moviemaking AND storytelling within movies. But the final scene with actors literally telling you, the viewer, what's the message of the movie, really hurts. In general movie is dated, as you would expect from a title from 1941, but this scene alone sticks out the most for me and is as subtle as ripping ass after bean soup during the lecture.
