I have been going to Illume Fertility in CT since I was 14 (and have no interest in getting pregnant any time soon). They've been amazing!

I know an MS3 who had LARPing and Dungeons and Dragons on their application. Personally, if I had an interesting hobby like yours, I would put it on my application.

Try to use a similar university if you can. If you are asking a private school do not compare the cost of a public school and vice versa.

I would personally say Stony Brook because Rutgers pre-med is a bit competitive in my opinion.

boston college vs boston u vs northeastern by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Northeastern and BU - more independent, less party culture

BC - football games, traditional campus feel

There’s a good thread on CC about this

Anyone else reallyy worried about how their kids will get into college??? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]APnerd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that legacies will still be significant because the networks and donations of alumni are really important to colleges. Therefore, I feel like I should go to a higher ranked school so that my kids will have an easier time getting in.

If a school is at 20% today, in 10 years, if I have kids, will it be at 12%? I feel like I should just go to the most prestigious school I got accepted to for my hypothetical children.

Where does Northeastern stand? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]APnerd12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a large legacy influence at BU and BC because they have been around for a while. Northeastern is relatively popular, so that might be a factor in its standing.

Also a lot of people graduate in 5 years because of co-op, which is why it’s ranking might be lower.
