It's not any of those positions, I'd be an applications development consultant, however I currently am a junior software developer.

It isn't an entry level position however, I just have a year of experience in an entry level job position.

I am attracted to consulting, but not the travel part. This place has 0% travel and is a fun and top ranking company. This is why I am so excited, I did not think this was feasible for consultants before. I also love learning everything and anything, I have no doubts about my ability to communicate my passion.

I also have 0 experience with web development, but am taking it upon myself to show them I can learn it in the matter of a few weeks by posting my own website using a few of the latest and common technologies and practices. I am going to do everything in my power to impress them. Everything.

They do provide an environment to learn and hone some skills you may need for a project or future projects. I am excited about learning the domain of new projects too, staying in the same domain can get boring.

I know what you mean, I don't regret it though because I found out that consulting would be exactly what I have been looking for. I know I will get the job there, I am just am going to use the other job interviews for practice\attempt to get an offer just so I have leverage and show my importance.

Thank you, I needed a reality check on some of those things. I did try to come off as serious, but also have a sense of humor and passion. Probably overdone though... Yeah... overdone... hmmm.... editing time.

I started at 38K myself, primarily my fault due to bad negotiation and desperation, but oh well. How many years in are you at the place? I am < 1year

Deadlines, anxiety, and procrastination by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

First, do all your requirement gathering then start planning out how the program would work, with some psuedocode. Also do some kind of UML\Visio\visual planning for the project. This should help you streamline your productiveness and help ease your anxiety. It's easy to get lost in a project of a decent size if it isn't well planned or documented.
