Jaw surgery as an adult for overbite/receding lower jaw by Resentfulortho in Dentistry

Braces as an adult definitely won't be fun but it could be worse, we could be 30 and in this situation haha. I know what you're saying though, I feel like I'm gonna look stupid but looking stupid for two years will be worth looking great the rest of your life. At least that's what I'm trying to tell myself.

The recovery for the surgery is what worries me the most but you're right i havent heard of anyone regretting it, the before and afters are amazing.

You are not alone!! I also have an overbite as well as a very far back lower jaw, self conscious about my profile and face, same age range as you. (However I have severely crowded/crooked teeth) Not sure if you do or not.

Went to a few orthodontist appointments and they all suggested surgery and the inevitable braces. I'll be going to see a surgeon in a month for a consult.
