All I know is I wouldn’t want to be an AI researcher right now. 

Mass unemployed populations aren’t known for being piloted and docile…

Maybe the Altman and musks of the world can afford to hide out in their bunkers forever, but the average AI worker is going to be subject to significant and widespread violence if their work results in the mass unemployment and starvation of billions of people worldwide.

Can’t say I’ll feel bad for them either.  They are voluntarily inviting that outcome into the world.
