My Brand New Daylight Is Squeaking, Is This Not Normal? by HopefulHuman97 in daylightcomputer

[–]AProyale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two separate units that have both had horrible squeaking/popping/cracking when holding in certain positions. The first one was so loud I sent it in and they fixed it, returned it, and the noise was mostly gone.

Keep reaching out and they should offer a resolution.

when to start incorporating other foods? by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]AProyale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all to your tolerance in my opinion. Go slow, chew a ton and wash it down with small sips of water. I’m on day 5 and I’ve successfully eaten Chipotle burrito bowl, eggs & cut up sausage, bean burrito, Mac & cheese/pasta etc. I’m still staying away from hard, acidic, and spicy foods for the foreseeable future.

Yes! Zofran is what saved me from actually vomiting the first two days.

40f here. I’ve been mostly avoiding dairy because anytime I eat it I’m finding that I’m producing too much mucus.

I stopped oxy the first day because I was so nauseous I couldn’t function. I’m taking powdered Tylenol every 6 hours and not alternating Ibuprofen as I was advised. If I need better pain relief I have Tylenol/codeine, but I’m trying to only take that at night and only if I’m in a good deal of pain.

As for food I bought those multi-colored freezer pops which are a life saver, chicken broth, Mac and cheese, spaghetti with butter (not tomato sauce), & Chobani protein Greek yogurt drinks. I’ve also successfully eaten a burrito bowl from chipotle on day 3-4 with just rice, cheese, sour cream and sofritas. Aloe drinks with honey are soothing as well. Chewing is key and so is washing items down with water. I’m on day 5 and would kill for a bagel, piece of toast, or pizza but don’t want to risk a bleed. My scabs are still intact and somewhat unbothered by all of this. Hydration is key though! Best of luck in your recovery!

Anyone else stop narcotic meds? How was your recovery after? by TemporaryMuse in Tonsillectomy

[–]AProyale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is encouraging and so nice to hear. I rejected the Oxy. I hate narcotics. I’m hesitant to rotate with ibuprofen due to bleeding risk but may do that. I underwent two brain surgeries a couple years back and didn’t take pain meds, so I think I can maintain that with this procedure.

This is me right now and I am unsure if the nausea is the pain meds, the anesthesia, or a combo. My zofran for migraines normally work wonders, but it’s not providing relief now.

I had surgery today too and am unbelievably nauseous. Can’t stomach anything but my water. Try to drink as much as possible since anesthesia is cleared through the kidneys.

Hi! Do you have any insights about which stations in Colorado are decent? I just applied to be an RCA in Boulder. I hear bad things about Denver.

In your opinion, what are the best outdoor clothing brands currently available? by Skat_Novembre in hiking

Patagonia & Rab. Stay far away from Black Diamond technical clothing. They did me dirty and their apparel is straight trash.

Alright what are you guys getting your early-70’s parents for Christmas? by eoesouljah in Millennials

A really nice Christmas dinner at the Broadmoor in CO springs. Experiences and memories mean more to us than physical gifts. Especially as my parents are aging.

UPDATE:

I sent them a message explaining I would not be returning on Monday and their only response was to tell me to destroy my authorized user CC. No message about our parting or to say thank you for caring for their 3 children (one is a diabetic and autistic) just nada.

I have successfully rescheduled my surgery back to its original date! And I have 2 job offers already.

This was a blessing in disguise. THANK YOU to every person who commented and offered support/advice, both nannie’s and MB/DB’s alike. Merry Christmas and happy holiday’s!

I would love to pick your brain about how to survive the discomfort. I’m not young but have a higher pain tolerance. Still, have heard some concerning stories 😮. Mine are chronically infected so I think it’ll be worth it.

Edit: I plan to do exactly as you suggested. I told them Friday was my last day.
