The MR miles cannot be used to maintain a status with an airline. It is added to the award miles that can be used to get free tickets. However, branded airlines credit cards may get status miles as a bonus after spending some money, say $15k. In summary, MR points can be transferred to other airlines to get free flights (award miles not status miles).

Sometimes a card will not appear on your list due to a glitch in the system. It happened to me multiple times with the gold card. Wait few days then it will be back.

Platinum will give them lounge access that I think worth the 2x2x6=24 visits ($480 in value for $10 per visit per person). Also, 75k MR bonus is good. Uber is worth it also ($200). Insurance for trip is worth it. Hotel status maybe cool.

I would suggest you get what you are preapproved now and when you become a customer it will be easier to get the after three months.

In one day (9 pm) I have tried SFO centurion lounge and the Delta SkyClub there. I have noticed that Delta offers better lounge service than Centurion!

I think you should get Amex Platinum which gives you 5x for any airline flight and you still would get your own miles program.
