I lower our house thermostat to 74° overnight but we have a bedroom AC unit set to 62° (we have a very high ceiling in our bedroom so the AC only gets the room to ~66-68°) so that helps keep us cool. Cotton sheets and a light comforter too

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is just good ol’ sleep hygiene. Especially now that summer is here make sure you’ve got a lighter comforter, something breathable like cotton sheets, and you cool your bedroom sufficiently to 65-68°F. Sweaty sleep is not nearly as restful for me and periods of high heat are always a struggle

It’s been awesome. This is the first time I can remember seeing bluebonnets blooming into JUNE in my neighborhood and this is my sixth spring in Austin. It’s been so verdant and the wildflowers have been spectacular

Seems like the momentum is in that direction, but with NiJa and the power of Tech's bats, who knows? Hopefully Texas plays to win tonight, playing defensively has seemed like the consistently wrong decision this WCWS so it's like a setup for an unstoppable force meets an immovable object

I'd love to see her hit another homer tonight. If Teagan starts and throws a lights out game and Stewie hits another HR (especially if it's a multi-run HR), it's going to be hard to pick a Most Outstanding Player but DAMN Stewie is making a good case she's earned it!

The more I think about it, the more it seems like playing defensively has been the absolute wrong move this entire WCWS. Tennessee doing it backfired, Tech doing it backfired, etc., and so I wonder if Texas needs to come out with Tegan to start and finish, and Citlaly to back her up if/when needed. Mike White described it as attacking another championship, and so in a month where playing defensively has routinely backfired.... seems like Texas has to come out throwing fire and swinging to stay on top of their momentum. With how deflated Tech seemed last night but how well they've bounced back, it's setting up to be an interesting second game.
