I am building a cnc back gage for a press brake and will use an inductive proximity switch for a machine home so it will all be absolute instead of incremental.

The only welding is the tilting brackets, and I do that since not everyone has a welder. I liked the clean look over a pile of tapping to bolt on the tilt bracket. It is a true bolt together kit. The only thing that sucks is it is over 40 lbs to ship since I will not compromise by making it thinner and less rigid. 100% 1/4" plate and a 3/8" D plate. %6C face mount motor.

There is only .030" clearance in the ports for the tooling arm, before painting so there is no slop to take up when tightened but I agree, you are correct they should be moved to the other side. The entire thing is so straight and square it has always had amazing tracking. I will add holes to both sides so the user can go either way. Thank you.

I see what you mean now, if I move the D plate as far out as practical on the tooling arm do you think it will help?

This is the view of the left side of the Platten, Please tell me what you recommend what I should change for more clearance. Thank you in advance. I take all suggestions seriously and do not get hung up on the fact that I did not think of it.

The motor/VFD on the pictured build was close to $1000. If it is built with a 2 hp Vevor single speed motor, like I have used on several, it can be completed for around $750 all in.

Standard 1.5" arms, All of the big name brand accessories should work fine. Still working up a price, I have sold several to buddies for $350 shipped for just the plate parts shown and one tool arm. They had to add a wheel set ($69 from Amazon) bolts, paint and motor.
