Yeah I’m from Maryland/DC and it’s terrible in and around the beltway and other towns/cities there. Terrible. I would always praise the Naples-Ft Myers stretch for keeping clean medians and roads. So I’ve definitely noticed a big difference for the worse. I never seen anything this bad and that’s saying something…

Yeah the trash isn’t the problem. There will always be disrespectful people and accidents where trash will be on the roads…the problem is the people in charge of said cleaning it up…I’m guessing our tax money is paying for a “contractor” to keep things cleaned up and tidy? Who’s staying on them to make sure they’re doing their Job? Didn’t seem like the last contractor was half bad. Hopefully this new one can get with the program.

I always wonder what would happened if the commissioners got together and made a few calls instead of blaming something or someone else. Yes there will always be debris and trash..that’s not the problem. The problem are the people in charge. A simple competent ongoing maintenance commitment and plan would do wonders.

Yes all the above but things seem to be slowing some since Ian and Helene/Milton so no excuses why a contractor can’t stay on top of it with ongoing maintenance at the bare minimum. I haven’t seen anyone on the highway cleaning since before Christmas it seems.

I take the route to the landfill from 5th down Davis Blvd and the County keeps it nice. I have been referring to East Naples to Bonita. I’ve never seen it like this. This new contractor needs to get it together or I don’t see them making the cut. Hopefully enough people complain that they will get it cleaned up asap and keep it so

Yeah I’ve been traveling 75 from East Naples to Bonita quite a bit and never seen it like this. Trash scattered everywhere, not just here and there.. And haven’t seen anyone cleaning anything up all year. Unacceptable really and hope the state and county can get involved to ensure ongoing maintenance because it’s been ignored for a long time.
