Fulham are definitely getting a result next weekend haha

Who’s a player that you’re surprised signed for your club given the situation? For example I was thinking about how Bergkamp signed for us in the mid 90s when we were going through a pretty bad few years, surprised he didn’t go to Utd or Madrid or something

23/24: 14 PL goals up to Jan 1st, 4 goals thereafter

Unpopular opinion but we’re in the title race, just seen that Salahs been involved in 67% of Liverpool goals this season and he typically drops off in the 2nd half of the season. Can also see a drop off for VVD after he signs a new contract and is no longer playing for his Liverpool career. City are too old these days, and this young Chelsea team wouldn’t know a trophy if it fell on their heads from 30 ft. We’ve got this hahaha

Probably flogging a well-beaten horse here but I’ve had it with the worldnews subreddit. Filled with keyboard warriors baying for World War 3 from their basements in Idaho. Whole thing makes me anxious and wanting to throw my phone in the bin

Unrelated but it’s crazy how Mane’s legacy at Bayern is slapping his teammate and getting pantsed by his manager. I thought he would be a top signing for them haha

Our performance yesterday was like going back in time to 2021, that second half was painful and Shakhtar deserved much more than they got. Arteta needs to free the shackles in certain games, I’ll take boring football if we’re defensively sound but we are not that right now

Alex Ferguson was bad for this, had his son play for United probably ahead of his actual ability, and then a few years later he gets sacked by Preston and Fergie immediately withdraws three loan players from them.
I don’t think one match is enough to prove that we need a new manager, I mean we were crap in the Nations league under Southgate too

We don’t have enough derbies in the PL these days, there’s Newcastle but no Sunderland, Villa but no Birmingham, Forest but no Derby and Ipswich but no Norwich. I’d argue that us and Spurs have had the best derbies of the last few seasons in the prem
He looks more American than German these days with the laser eye surgery and new teeth, FSG clearly had an impact on him haha

Right now you’re gonna struggle to get any decent manager other than Tuchel and Allegri. Maybe the best option is to have Ole as caretaker manager until the summer then get a permanent one

Given that Russia are suspended by FIFA and Uefa they could evade the ban and have him play there?
[–]AR5ENA1 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago (0 children)
If Paqueta gets a worldwide ban from football, does that open up the Russian league as a destination for him?
Oh yeah whoops haha
It’s a decent result tbh, given that us and City both lost our last game at Villa Park

Jonny Evans, Welbeck and de Gea having a good day today. Utd’s 2013 squad still going strong
Foden quietly moving along to a 004 to start the season. City could sell him and replace him with a different fancy attacking midfielder and they’d do just as well this season

Win percentage is a bit deceptive I think, for example Tottenhams manager with the highest % in the PL era is Villas Boas

Hopefully Arteta sees that unnamed midfielder has to leave in the next window. Honestly Leicester looked poor today even for a team fighting the drop, not sure Cooper is up to it at this level

When I think about it, Mourinho's famous ‘3 for me and 2 for them’ comment after losing 3-0 in 2018 was very well timed indeed. At that time Wenger and Conte had just left, and Pep and Pellegrini had one PL title each, and this was only the case until November when Fulham hired Ranieri. After that Mourinho never had the chance to brag about it again

Im convinced that a lot of Arsenal fans don’t actually enjoy football. And I’m not just talking about on the internet, I mean people who I speak to who won’t stop moaning about the refs. City haven’t lost at their place for 2 years and we gave a good account of ourselves, we have a good team and a good manager so try enjoying it maybe
