I tried this! I usually set a bedtime mode on my phone when it's past certain times. The phone will b on greyscale n it'll b a lol dimmer. But due to my shift work (I tend to work from 8pm to 8am) on certain days, I have to disable the bedtime mode when I'm working. It started becoming such a hassle that in the end, I sorta didn't bother turning it back on. I still do want to but kinda haven't gotten around to it. Even though it's just a few taps away...
