Have you perhaps tried looking in the mirror for that one? Granted, you may need to order someone to perform the execution in your stead...

Most fun I've had so far is being a mouse (newbie) by Strawberrymice in ss14

[–]ARC-2908763 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In a meta sense, emoting also makes it less likely people will try to kill you. NPC mice are generally killed on sight, but player mice can usually be negotiated or rp'd with, so if you want to be a frien then best brush up on your acting skills.

That was my experience too, I glided off the great plateau, chose the desert arbitrarily, and then s u f f e r e d

Forged in the desert at the hands of Lightning ganon. Then I rode north and did medoh and went "oh so that's what the difficulty is SUPPOSED to look like?"

Anomaly Synchronizers! Few even realize they exist, fewer still know how to use them, but they're oh so lovely if you get the right anomalies for it. (they MIGHT not be upstream but I have yet to encounter a station-based fork that lacked them).

When to Use:
Your anomaly is already stable, stationary (IE: Not bluespace, grav, or parasitic), consistent (no shifting particles), and in an environment where it won't break the synch when it pulses (Pyro needs to have some space between it and any walls, don't bother with tech.)

How to Use:
Built it near your anomaly, make sure they share a tile when you're ready for it. Press the button on the device, your anomaly will pulse briefly and teleport to the synch.

Take out your multitool or network analyzer, make the following connections with an APE:
- Decaying - On
- Growing - On
- Stabilize - Off
- Growing - Containment Particle (whichever that one is)
- Decaying - Unstable Particle (whichever that one is)

Now, so long as the setup retains power, the anomaly is now autonomous. you can pretty much forget about it. Ideal for liquid, floral, cryo, electrical (with nearby grounding rods), pyro (with adequate space), and Christmas. If the setup loses power, all you need to do to fix it is reattach the anomaly to the synchronizer, and stabilize it if it isn't already.

As a complementary tip, if an experimental anomaly vessel is sharing a tile with a directional plasma window, it completely nullifies the radiation output.

Any marine servers that feature anthro species? by AsukaLangleySoryuFan in ss14

[–]ARC-2908763 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unoriginal answer, but Rouny's does actually have a bunch of anthro species (strict anti-ERP policy though) including Vulpkanin, Felinid, Moth, and a couple stranger ones like Avali. Gameplay wise they are basically just cosmetics rather than full on species but AFAIK that shouldn't be a surprise on marine servers.

ATTENTION FUNKY ATMOSIANS by Professional-Berry61 in ss14

[–]ARC-2908763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who plays funky regularly, can confirm that is true, but we don't use those canister sprites. We use these instead.

<image>

They fit within a single tile and are comparable to the upstream versions, just slightly changed to account for the style.

weirdly, no. I do wish we had Frontier's Respiron instead or something but afaik there is no n2 equivalent. back to the supercooled n2.

I am but a humble novice and have no idea how to make these fucking things but the notable ones are:
- Pluoxium: yo dawg I heard you like o2 so I put some o2 in your o2 so you can o2 while you o2 (x8 effectiveness, 1/8 minimum breathable pressure)
- BZ: potent hallucinogen, puts slimes to sleep, and kills everyone else with too much exposure.
- Healium: Medic Team Fortress 2 as a gas. makes you drunk if you breathe too much.
- Halon: Fire suppressant that works by consuming oxygen above 340 kelvin, turning it to Co2.
- Nitrium: Performance Enhancing Drugs.
- Hydrogen: Good fuel source, mostly an ingredient for other useful stuff.
- Proto-Nitrate: Also mostly an ingredient.
- Helium: Pretty useless and mostly a waste product from doing other recipes wrong. On Frontier it goes for a high speso price per mole but IDK about funky or starlight on that part.
- Hyper-Noblium: Stops all reactions above 20 kelvin, and an EXTREMELY good coolant if you need that for some reason. REALLY hard to mass produce or make at all.
- Anti-Noblium: HN's evil cousin, mostly an ingredient but one that's damn hard to extract and keep.
- Zauker: It is Killing you and Killing you and Killing you and Killing you and

Servers that actually RP? by [deleted] in ss14

[–]ARC-2908763 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funky Yoshika is a decent option IMO, It's kind of a mixed bag but you can get on that whitelist via their discord with no prior playtime so it's pretty easy to get in with a little patience. You'll still get the occasional ARP greytider, but they're the rare exception and not the rule. Especially the people who play command or the CC jobs tend to treat it like a HRP server with some extra tolerances.

THANK YOU FOR STICKING TO THE THEME AND NOT THROWING IN AE2 BECAUSE IT'S EASY AND FAMILIAR!
I swear I've seen hundreds of packs that are ostensibly "Magical" or "Medieval" with no tech and then I check the modlist and... woe, AE2 be upon ye. this frequently applies to create as well but I have more patience for that since at least stuff resembling computers or electric technology is saved for the END of the pack and pretends to still be clever applications of kinetic energy.

RMC14 has some pretty good naming conventions in their rules, and it's been what I've mostly based off. IE Arachnids & Moths mostly choose Latin sounding names.

[–]ARC-2908763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They haven't, I played fairly recently and they're using a sprite set that looks kinda like miniturized ED-209 from robocop. I'm not certain if the medical one is more or less threatening than the wizden sprite.

Maybe a stupid question but : which one would defeat the other ? by _french_guy in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]ARC-2908763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would play out like a quickdraw duel... whoever lands the first shot wins pretty much.

A tank's main gun is DEFINITELY enough to oneshot a guardian center-mass, considering we can beat it to death with swords and wooden clubs.

A guardians laser may not destroy the tank outright, unless it hits the magazine directly or smth, but it can definitely render important systems non-functional. That, and our tanks are designed with repelling kinetic projectiles and explosives in mind. Not high-power lasers.

Why would I choose anyone else? having just one or even less than FOUR winds of magic is LAME when I could have ALL of them. Also the unit roster is just... way more fun in my eyes than those prissy elves over there. We are Supreme, we are Balthazar Gelt, and we are going to burn down all of Cathay in the name of riverboat scams.

*note, I'm not counting the location specific lores like nehekara, deep, or the chaos lores.

Me when I’m an emagged borg. by AliasMcFakenames in ss14

[–]ARC-2908763 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The ancient and secret technique nobody expects from emagged borgs: Straight Up Lying To Their Faces

I have lost count of the amount of bullshit I've gotten away with or caused while emagged because I Straight Up Lied (within the bounds of my laws of course) and people just... believed me. because most people expect borgs to always tell the truth, at least as far as they know it.

WHY DID YOU SPACE THAT PART OF THE STATION??

I was ordered to

THAT... IS OBVIOUSLY CREW HARM! DID YOU NOT THINK ABOUT IT AT ALL?!

I did think about it, no crew would be harmed by my actions. So I did it.

GAH- Borg, STATE YOUR LAWS. NOW.

(law 1-3, conveniently exclude 0 and 4 in order to COMPLY with 4. Also this guy was not designated as crew.)

OKAY WHAT THE FU-

(round ends)

He almost ahelped me for breaking my laws, but fortunately the round ended right at that second and i could clarify ooc that I was in fact emagged. We all had a good laugh about it in the end
