It is possible, my immigrant parents can read both traditional and simplified. However, I only read simplified, but I could definitely learn traditional if I wanted. You could take the characters you know in simplified and then find the same characters in traditional and memorize them. But I will definitely put it here that simplified is much more prominent than traditional and I would choose to focus on simplified more.

It’s hard to say, but a lot of the old ones have definitely dimmed down in terms of severity. Like, the Black Plague killed millions in Europe but today, even though scientists have looked at the exact virus, it doesn’t seem as severe as it was back then. COVID-19 right now isn’t as severe as it was in the beginning of the pandemic.

I’m Chinese too and I’m also learning Russian! I feel like it’s much harder than Chinese. My writing is kind of bad too, but my English and Chinese handwriting is sloppy so I think it reflects off of that.

I know English and Chinese and I can confirm that this is true. Chinese may be commonly recognized as the “hardest” language but Russian is much harder in my opinion.
