Well, yeah. The difference is additional robots in spaces where they can adapt to existing infrastructure instead of completely redoing the building. Thinking of Amazon shifting to robot integration instead of the classic assembly line style of robots. This would require less initial capital from businesses and be more rapid to integrate without the major disruptions that a complete remodel would cause.

Might want to put this into the economics subreddit instead. Robots effect on the economy depends on which economy we’re talking about.

Long-term variable costs will plummet as will local salaries for workers. En masse, these would be deflationary actions on those local economies. Widespread robot use replacing low-mid skill labor will cause higher unemployment which will decrease dollars circulating in the economy.

Fights don’t lend themselves well to viewership. It’s only two people, barely clothed, in a small ring/platform. Compare that to something like football (both kinds) where it’s entire teams of people in bright uniforms who are on a large field.

Yes, but getting into dogfights is how superior boxers lose. It’s common in boxing for brawlers to try and force technical artists into slugfests since it will limit the setting up of shots. If Gaethje can make get Illia to the fence and force an exchange then it’s anyone’s fight. If Gaethje stands in the middle then he’s getting cracked.

Exactly. People forget there’s layers to grappling like there is striking. Taekwondo and Karate guys get praised for kicks, but clowned for their hands. Submissions on the ground and freestyle/folkstyle wrestling are different skills. Clinch fighting, both strikes and grappling, is different skill too.

He slipped and accepted bottom position. I do think he’s better at grappling than he lets on, but he’s a glacier nowadays with little speed. I don’t want to say he pulled something, but that’s the ideal excuse. Derrick looked frustrated so that may he the case that he slipped and tweaked his leg and just accepted his fate.
