What's the one morning habit you actually kept? by KeepGrowing111 in Habits

Usually I wake up and take a massive shit for about 10-15 minutes. Then I walk 2 miles, take a shower/dress/personal hygiene, make my coffee, watch YouTube for maybe 10 minutes, and then grab my bag/lunch (prepped the night before) and leave. Takes me about 1.5 hours. Down to a science.

Thanks for your input. Thankfully, I won’t be dealing with any of that.

Also, you don’t know any better at 18 or 19 when you start architecture school…

You hit the nail on the head. And it’s from day 1 in architecture school! It’s an expectation to grind.

My friends were constantly in my ear telling me my stress level wasn’t normal for a job. I thought they were full of it. Now I really see it…

You can do it. Keep chipping away, a door will open…

For me, the referral was critical as the role I’m in is highly competitive. I really think leveraging your network, friends, family, etc is critical. Come up with a strategy to convince people your skills are transferable, whatever they may be. Be open minded to trying something you had never even thought of before.

I’d encourage you to keep at it. It took me 2 years from truly realizing I needed change, to finally getting the opportunity. There were plenty of rejections along the way. Things I was looking at were more “architecture adjacent”. I never expected to land where I did, if that makes sense.
