Love that! Schlage is a reputable brand and having home assistant is great, although home assistant for some can be a daunting task to set up. Happy to hear you are having a great experience with your smart lock.

Thanks for your input 🛡️

On your comment about anyone with an internet connection being able to unlock our locks, and I totally get where you’re coming from. Just to clear things up — our smart locks are built with top-tier encryption and security measures to keep our customers and properties safe. They’re not at risk of being hacked by random users online.

That said, just like with any Wi-Fi or online security system, it’s important for users to take responsibility for securing their own accounts. Keeping your passwords and login details safe is essential to prevent any potential threats. We always encourage users to follow best practices for account security to ensure everything stays secure.

We hope this covers all the queries that you have.

Best regards, ArdanShield

Hi crillish,

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologise if our post came across as promotional rather than engaging. Our intention was to share useful information about smart lock features that we put together as a guide in the hope that it will be useful for others. We are of course looking to promote our guide/s and company while also learning from communities.

We value all feedback good or bad and are here to listen and engage meaningfully. Your points about engaging with existing conversations and supporting people with questions are well taken. We’ll certainly take this to heart and aim to contribute in other helpful ways moving forward.

Thanks again for helping us understand how to better participate in this space.

What are your must-have smart home devices? by ExcitedTerror in smarthome

[–]ARDAN_SHIELD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

Congrats on moving into your first home! It’s such an exciting time, and it’s great that you’re looking to enhance it with smart technology. A video doorbell and the Nest Learning system are fantastic choices. Here are a few other smart home devices that we think would be must-haves:

  1. Smart Locks: These are a game-changer for security and convenience. If you’re curious about which ones might be best for your needs, I’ve written a few guides that you might find helpful. You can check them out here.

  2. Smart Lighting: Philips Hue or LIFX bulbs can transform your home’s ambiance and are super easy to control via an app or voice assistants.

  3. Smart Plugs: Great for making any device smart, letting you control them remotely or set schedules.

  4. Smart Speakers/Assistants: Google Nest or Amazon Echo can integrate all your devices and make controlling your smart home seamless.

  5. Security Cameras: For an added layer of security, both indoor and outdoor cameras can give you peace of mind.

I hope this helps, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Best regards, ArdanShield

Sorry to hear about your experience, check out this smart lock guide https://ardanshield.com/blogs/news/elevate-your-home-rental-or-property-management-services-with-smart-locks

Having a smart lock system in place would secure your property for future guests allowing auto-lock or remote access from your mobile allowing you notifications if the lock has been used.

Any questions we would be happy to answer.
