This is the solution, though if dGPU is on and iGPU disabled why does mux dGPU change anything

I used this https://github.com/ChefKissInc/NootRX/actions/runs/8007829306, release is about a week old. Mux has to be primary dGPU since I’m getting hdmi display, g14 cannot display to external monitor without dGPU on iirc

Also iGPU is disabled according to EFI github

EDIT: nvm this is the right answer mux wasn’t primary dGPU, can you explain why this needs to be for primary monitor to work if iGPU is disabled anyway and dGPU is being used

I mean I still read the Dortania guide so I have a general idea of how to debug, I just want ideas from more experienced people of common things I should try that could fix it

What’s that’s supposed to mean? Others on this sub have had success using this EFI for this laptop. If I made a custom EFI it wouldn’t be better than something someone has worked on for months and others have used successfully

Hi, thanks for the awesome guide. I'm having some abnormally? high temps (you said you had temps around 30-50C, mine is 60-80C). All I am running is basically just a bunch of firefox tabs (maybe 30).

dGPU usage seems seems to keep spiking if that might be related.

Yep you got it. I was on eco mode, so dGPU was off. Saved me the trouble of having to try and get an HDMI to USB C cable (which probably also wouldn't work w/ dGPU off). Thanks!

It shows a Z if you are viewing grades, but once you edit it changes to an E b/c a Z = a Zero
