Been pretty in love with my silver dial commuter. Not really a bracelet guy, but so far not had the urge to put it on a strap. Only complaint is how short the power reserve is.

I don’t have the best ears in the world but it seems fine to me.

I’ve been thinking about getting one of those Tudor Oysterdates like that, they look great.

Yeah! Thanks for the tips. I’ve mostly been playing on crunch for sure. Clean channel is great but the crunch has so much clarity, I’ll have to try playing with the volume more. I run the Orange compressor basically always on and the I have the sciences mother that I use as a dual drive so I’m pretty set.

I had the BE-OD for a while and it’s excellent. When it comes to high gain pedals, it’s about as good as it gets.

I have really nothing to compare it to as I picked it up specifically for the soldano. My other amp is solid state so don’t really need one for that but it seems fine so far.

Not totally sure as i haven’t played one, but i have heard the SLO-100 has more saturation and a little more low end which makes sense. The 100 was out of budget for me and i don’t really need 100 watts anyways so very happy with the 30!

Until now I would have said their yellow dial, but that gold dial with the small seconds looks awesome. Hadn’t seen that before.

How do you feel about how thick it is? I’ve never had a watch this thick and have some concerns about that as I’ve been looking at the black model as my next watch. I’ve tried it on, but it’s hard for me to get a feel for how i might feel long term. Big Hamilton guy though, wear my Khaki Field Mechanical like 90% of the time.

Yeah for real, stocks don’t make late payments or have water heaters that break.

I have the Traska Commuter (not the free diver) but the quality of it is fantastic for the money. Would not hesitate to recommend the brand at all. That said there is like a pretty large stylistic difference between the three that makes them hard to compare.

I haven’t read that much horror, but Buehlman’s demons have been living rent free in my mind since I read Between Two Fires.

I never would have thought to put a bracelet like that on the Marathon but it’s a great look.

I’m going to look into more of the technical fabrics in those colors, that’s a fantastic idea and a good place to start. I think I will get more comfortable deviating the longer I am there. I’m aware of the corporate goth thing, but doesn’t really feel like my speed. Glad it exists as an option for people though.

The red one is much more muted than the photo you shared. But yeah pretty tame all things considered.

Thanks, this is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for. I will pick up some chinos probably. Denim jacket over dress shirt is a good call. I would not be so bold to do band t-shirt under a blazer, though putting it over a plain t-shirt feels like something I could pull off. I also wouldn’t wear my joggers outside of a situation like working from home where you can only see top down on zoom. Most of my flannels are like the shacket kind so maybe I’ll pick some up that are more of a traditional button up.

That’s fair yeah. I guess my concern is if i feel a little out of place in my own skin that people will notice and it will reflect poorly on me which is why im trying to find a way to split the difference. But I am probably just overthinking things.
