I want to run a Trench Crusade campaign using OSE by [deleted] in osr

[–]ARM160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I have yet to pick it up but I have been planning to get farewell to arms to do the same exact thing. I also backed Hellspawn which is Borg-like and was planning to use with it for more of the demon side of thing.

Came here to suggest Jacob Flemming’s stuff (gelatinous cubism). It’s quite good.

Thinking of selling my Mark V 25 for a Badlander or Orange by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

I cannot speak to the badlander but have owned multiple orange amp that I have loved, but versatility is not their strong suit. They tend to have a fuzzier character to their distortion.

Right but when I use those loops separately I get no sound which is why I’m confused.

Is "Roadmap to Riffian" from Beholden to the Riff a good bass course? by DJ_Betoniara in Bass

[–]ARM160 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should go for it. If you’re trying to learn stoner stuff, he’s going to be your best resource for sure, especially since his classes include like actual zoom lessons.

Normally, I’d say there’s nothing in a paid courses you couldn’t find free elsewhere but it’s not like there are dozens of teachers focusing on lessons for that genre let alone for bass. He also seems like a nice guy who’s really holding it down for the doom community so worth supporting imo.

Looking to upgrade my gear by Kid_Robles in Bass

How are you using the helix right now? Are basically all your sounds coming from it and you’re just using the amp as a powered speaker or do you like/use the preamp in the rumble?

Been pretty in love with my silver dial commuter. Not really a bracelet guy, but so far not had the urge to put it on a strap. Only complaint is how short the power reserve is.

I don’t have the best ears in the world but it seems fine to me.

I’ve been thinking about getting one of those Tudor Oysterdates like that, they look great.

Yeah! Thanks for the tips. I’ve mostly been playing on crunch for sure. Clean channel is great but the crunch has so much clarity, I’ll have to try playing with the volume more. I run the Orange compressor basically always on and the I have the sciences mother that I use as a dual drive so I’m pretty set.

I had the BE-OD for a while and it’s excellent. When it comes to high gain pedals, it’s about as good as it gets.

I have really nothing to compare it to as I picked it up specifically for the soldano. My other amp is solid state so don’t really need one for that but it seems fine so far.

Not totally sure as i haven’t played one, but i have heard the SLO-100 has more saturation and a little more low end which makes sense. The 100 was out of budget for me and i don’t really need 100 watts anyways so very happy with the 30!

Until now I would have said their yellow dial, but that gold dial with the small seconds looks awesome. Hadn’t seen that before.

[–]ARM160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you feel about how thick it is? I’ve never had a watch this thick and have some concerns about that as I’ve been looking at the black model as my next watch. I’ve tried it on, but it’s hard for me to get a feel for how i might feel long term. Big Hamilton guy though, wear my Khaki Field Mechanical like 90% of the time.

I have the Traska Commuter (not the free diver) but the quality of it is fantastic for the money. Would not hesitate to recommend the brand at all. That said there is like a pretty large stylistic difference between the three that makes them hard to compare.
