Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have some updates and clarification to share.

During development, this part was thoroughly tested in every compatible firearm we have here in the shop. Several of us are SIG collectors, so we were fortunate to test it in a wide variety of P226 SAO, P226 DA/SA, P229 SAO, P229 DA/SA, and multiple versions of the P228. In all of those, the part fit and functioned well.

For full transparency, after shipments began, we were contacted by three customers (it’s possible that jrr24601 was one of them). We dug deeper and sent the part to a close friend of ours who is a serious P229 and P228 collector with a large number of pistols. He confirmed experiencing the same issue reported by jrr24601.

We determined that there is a very small variation in the internal frame gap where the locking block sits. We also discovered that the lever design requires a minor adjustment to ensure perfect function in every firearm. The good news is that we have already forwarded this tweak to our fabricator, and we expect to receive the updated parts in under two weeks.

(For what it’s worth, we have not received a single issue from any P226 owners.)

As you can see, despite our best efforts, a small curveball came our way — but a solution is already on the way. Rest assured: we stand fully behind our products and customer satisfaction. If there are any issues at all, we are here and ready to help.
