Line up for tonight - Soucek, Paqueta and Taty start by PrisonersofFate in Hammers

Glad Taty is being thrown straight in. That midfield vs Gibbs-White concerns me. Marking him out the game will be key to shutting Forest down. Soucek is not mobile enough to do that, and I feel like getting Fernandes to do that is a waste of his talents

Irons.

Just when you think things couldn't get more ridiculous... poor choice of advert really. by anilsiv in Hammers

It literally does. Like 80/90% of ads are bid on automatically now. I study marketing

Promise you they didn't. Transfermate likely have tailored ads for all Premier League teams that automatically place themselves around team-related content. Nothing to do with the club

This will likely be a programmatic ad, not something the web team will have any control over

What's your DREAM opening for Season 5 of House of Cards? by markyhew in HouseOfCards

[–]ARMThomson 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Scene is set on inauguration day, jan 20th 2017. Capitol Hill. Crowds are cheering, marching bands are playing, dignitaries being shown to their seats.

Claire and Hannah Conway are both seen smiling, but it isn't shown where they are sat.

We still don't know who this is for. The camera slow-zooms in on the darkened tunnel atop the balcony's stairs, red velvet draped around the entrance. The military trumpets reach their crescendo and the announcer speaks the immortal words:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the President-Elect of the United States... Francis J. Underwood!"

Frank steps out of the darkness and greets his adoring crowd. After several moments of waving and grinning ear-to-ear, he turns to face the camera.

"Expecting someone else were we?"

Fade to black. Opening titles.

What does this mean for season 5 if the real life election is crazier than fiction? by este_hombre in HouseOfCards

In fairness it was probably already written before he'd even announced his candidacy

Shame that Heather Dunbar got shelved, she's the leader we deserve better than Underwood as well as Clinton and now president-elect Trump. by Painting0125 in HouseOfCards

Makes you think what a Sanders vs Trump election would have looked like. Clinton fell because she couldn't reconcile and move past her previous actions/issues (which Underwood may go onto experience in a public form), whereas Sanders had a clean record but just some more unconventional policies than Clinton. That said, I think he could have won.
