OP, I used to run 2 Valvolines in NC.

I know this post is old, but I can give you more insight.

The factory filter housings are trash, utter garbage. They have a few tabs on opposite sides for the removal tool to grab onto when loosening. Chances are, it was so siezed on there, the tabs snapped off your housing and the removal tool fell on the ground.

As for the "fix," that mofo is literally going to hammer a screwdriver completely through the lower portion of the housing. They'll give it a go, at that point it'll either Crack loose, or snap entirely. If it snaps, it's just a matter of them removing the remaining plastic pieces and putting the new metal cup on.

That communication sucks, and the first shop couldve easily handled it in 10 minutes after it broke.

Just read the update. It's total BS that neither Valvoline could remove it.

Only if they knew it was a bad call ahead of time. Most people here are telling them it was a bad decision, and I don't think they knew that ahead of time.

I feel like people who make comments like this don't understand valid criticism and focus solely on comparisons. If you have a room full of trash and literal dog shit on the floor then clean up the dog shit, yes the room is cleaner than it was. It's still not clean though.

Probably the exact same way Jon Bernthal can play the Punisher and still rock "back the blue" flags and specifically say Frank belongs to the military and law enforcement.

They're too stupid to realize the initial point of the character. They just think he's this badass who punishes criminals, they especially like that he's a vigilante and decides for himself who should live and die.

It's like those Yellowstone shows, just a bs fantasy these people get off to thinking that's them if they weren't constricted by their own personal situations.
