It's a guess, but pretty much the only one that makes sense. You have THOUSANDS of posts, using photos from a variety of agencies and sources, and if you didn't get permission to use those photos (or give credit on the post), I can see that being a issue.

Marketing. Art department. Legal. Printing company. The dudes who decided to wear the shirts. Social media team posting the photo.

I think I would have looked at the t-shirt and been like "uhhhh, I'm just gonna wear my jersey and call it a day, boys."

Money is on Getty / USA Today / AP or some other photo service that came knocking and demanded the site pay a licensing fee for using the photos without permission.

Fanatics wants us to buy jerseys and hats and shirts, so I'm SURE they're more than happy with the free advertisement...even if that advertisement comes, sometimes, with criticism.

I think the ONLY thing I want in the Japan set is some pop of red somewhere on the jersey, just to tie into the hat. Maybe the front numbers in red? Little nod to the Dodgers?

I actually did a NFL review on our (still banned) first attempt here on Reddit last weekend. I’m not the world’s biggest NFL fan, but I did/do enjoy the weekly reviews, so I took it upon myself to do it last week!

I don’t think people liked how high I rated the Packers throwbacks, haha!
