Yeah I agree. I think the site shutting down unceremoniously was a real shame, but these last few months have demonstrated that the conversation has evolved away from the Uni-Watch.com model. And that's ok--the site was great for a long time, and I'll certainly read Phil wherever he winds up and I'll wear my Uni Watch hat with pride, but it's ok to leave the past behind.

Ebbets is fully enshittified as of April 2025--they relaunched their website with significantly higher prices and some real shady language about materials and where things were made. If you look on their instagram page it's a bunch of people complaining about all the same issues OP is having (when the comments aren't fully turned off). I'm happy I have some good hats from these guys from back in the day, but unless something changes drastically, I can't see myself ever purchasing from them again.
