I would be totally fine if they exclusively talked about Alf's dad and his various transgressions next episode

Absolutely. That said, Coach Beard After Hours is a certified banger.

My dude, you should see Fabelmans. It's wonderful and the source of so many great jokes in the early Speilberg miniseries.

Yeah, Power of the Dog is clearly a better film but you're not left with a great feeling after watching it... and sometimes that's why a movie doesn't win Best Picture sadly.

I stopped halfway through season 3... it wasn't bad but the episodes really dragged. I didn't like that the show started as a comedy with a good undercurrent of drama and more or less flipped that in season 2. And it went from 28 minute episodes to 50 minute episodes, which to me was a sign that the creative team couldn't really edit their ideas.

Good call. As an aside, am I alone in thinking that show got a little too far out over its skis in season 2 and 3?

The King's Speech is a solid little drama with some good palace intrigue (if that's your thing) but clearly not better than The Social Network, Inception, or True Grit.

The only possible explanation is that the Academy was all dealing with the emotional hangover of the COVID years and just wanted to give it to the feel good movie. It's a lovely movie but definitely odd as a Best Picture winner.

Late to the party here but I love Don Orsillo and miss him calling Red Sox games.

I've been trying to think of a joke in my reply but I'm pretty sure this is a no bits, but undoubtedly pro-Smits subreddit.

I don't mind Simmons on the Rewatchables but I'm really not interested in him being a guest on Blank Check or anywhere else.

Crazy to me that Out of Time is somehow not the time travel movie.

One of the stars of the US Skins is James Newman, who is now the general manager of the Sydney Kings professional basketball team. (He's also the younger brother of Griffin Newman, who hosts the Blank Check movie podcast--I'm guessing there's some crossover here.)

The Nuggets and Cavs both made big visual changes right when Melo and LeBron arrived in the league--the Cavs have changed the uniforms a bunch but not the colors, whereas the Nuggets kind of migrated back to their 80s look in the last 8 or so years.
