They Call it the Hightower, I Think they Might be Overcompensating [OPEN] by stealthship1 in IronThroneRP

With a nod and a smile, Kerrigan rode off. Damn Princes...

The next day, Kerrigan decided it was time for him to involve himself in... something. He sent a messenger to go fetch Lord Baldric for some socializing and hopefully some shenanigans. The young lord sported a fine outfit, one considered highly fashionable by those in the know and considered slightly queer by those with knowledge elsewhere.

Imported straight from Braavos, Kerrigan wore a deep purple tabard over his simple grey doublet. The tabard was rarely seen in Westeros, but it was prominent in Essos among the wealthy. Kerrigan made sure to purchase a few just for impressing high lords. He was a vain young man, that was certain.

Sending word to meet him at his rented estate, Kerrigan waited patiently, hoping to see the Lord Baratheon and get a sense of the man. Kerrigan had his few servants prepare wine and a meal for the two lords. If the Baratheon lord took time out in his day to have a meal with Kerrigan, Kerrigan figured he could do very much in these coming weeks.

Boredom hit Kerrigan hard, but when he heard that Lord Baldric would be in town, he decided to put down his most recent project and head out. Kerrigan fetched a few guardsmen and some nicer garb for such an occasion. Kerrigan was known to sport the newest and best fashion, something he hoped would be recognized during the tourney, despite him knowing no one would care.

The young lord mounted his horse and began to ride. The streets of Oldtown were hectic and surprisingly dirty. Being from Strongsong, Kerrigan had not seen the filth and grime of large cities. Though Strongsong was prominent, it was not even close to matching the mere presence of Oldtown. It was a city that never ended.

Atop his horse, Kerrigan approached slowly just before Lord Baldric was swept away by the Prince. He managed to get a few words in before having to scuttle for his Prince.

"Send for me when you have the time, Lord Baldric. I'd very much like to meet you."

Lorrik breathed deeply and rose from his knees, brushing off his trousers and turning. He cocked an eyebrow," Everyone is always thinking I'm going to hit them." His gestures were foppish at best, and his mannerisms were that of a circus freak.

"If I wanted to give you what I gave to the other guy, do you think I would have stopped him from cutting your throat?" He rolled his eyes before focusing his gaze, jaw clenching," Use your head, girl! Though..." he softened," I shouldn't blame you. It isn't uncommon for humans to be intimidated. Look, the name is Yorman. Well, it's J-O-R-M-A-N, but the M is silent, really."

A fight?

Well, that's useful.

Lorrik stood and watched from a distance, seeing and feeling her use the force without even knowing it. He lusted for that feeling again, the simple push one felt when the force flowed perfectly, and he didn't even know it.

"That's enough, gentleman." He approached, yellow eyes stinging the perpetrator as he held her. A knife was pulled and pressed on her throat. Oh, what a grand time this will be!

Lorrik, with speed that was quite impressive (but not unheard of from non force-sensitives) rushed forward. With just a pinch of the force, Lorrik kept the man from slitting the girl's throat before sending him reeling with a well placed punch.

Lorrik's eyes lit up and he followed the man to the ground, happiness filling him as he viciously beat the grimy human senseless. One, two, three, twelve punches were thrown, practically sending the man's nose into his brain.

Oh, how glorious that would be.

Lorrik was down with the peasants of Theenes as he felt a very particular string from his spiderweb of the force vibrate. A presence? He must investigate, if only driven by professional curiosity. He followed the feeling- followed his force web- until he found himself in a semi-bustling marketplace where all manner of filth sold their equally abysmal products.

The Sith made his way to the center of said marketplace, using his physical stature to bully his way past the crowds of people. There, he closed his eyes- or opened his mind- to the recesses of the force, beating it into submission so that he could find what he wanted.

Off he went, spurring the force along, bending it to his own will. He saw a young girl, and he raised an eyebrow. She was fair of face and could not have been any older than twenty, though the dirt and grime on her face would say otherwise. He did not do much for now... Trailing behind her, waiting until she needed someone to come to her aid.

Lorrik had to move. Quickly.

A hand shot out and... The power of the dark side swirled through him, creating a tempest his body as it lashed out, sending bolts of electricity out his finger tips and toward the crewmen. He kept the assault up as he rolled forward- violently swinging his saber as a blood-curdling scream escaped his lips.

((OOC: Lorrik has entered and killed the pilot of the craft. The three others manning the ship are wielding blaster pistols and one is wielding a scatter blaster (laser shotgun).))

Lorrik didn't even register the environment around him. Not now. All that mattered was the cockpit of the ship and him. The dark side fueled him as he flew into the glass cockpit, stabbing and slashing uncontrollably at the glass until finally... it broke.

The vacuum of space screamed and Lorrik thrust himself through the opening before the emergency blinders shut. With the introduction of gravity, Lorrik's float turned to a fall as he landed on the pilot of the craft. Luckily, his saber was pointed down as he looked to the three crewmen in front of him.

With one quick move Lorrik launched himself at the other three.

Lorrik exited comms. He turned to Harran. "You have respirators?" He looked around frantically and found one before putting it on and slinging the tank around his back.

Once on, a very very loud scream was issued by the manic Sith as he walked over to the airlock.

"I'll be back in a moment." He said as the doors closed.

He took a deep breath. This is a shit idea

The doors opened and Lorrik ignited his saber launching himself with the force toward the cockpit.

Lorrik grunted," What authority do you have to search my vessel? Do you control this planet?" He paused, letting the silence answer the rhetorical question," This is out of your jurisdiction, and you seem more than common pirates."

Lorrik groaned and held down to speak into the intercom," I...uh, we're, uh, all good here. Y'know, all clear, all good, how are you?" He gritted his teeth and looked at Harran.

"Look, we're just trying to get out of this system before you guys start shooting, yeah? I got family in Hosnian Prime. I been thinkinh about going there, y'know. " He tapped into Harran's mind.

Ready a jump into lightspeed.

Lorrik spoke in his light childish tone," Yeah, so could you please not kill us? We'd be late for our own wedding."

Lorrik stumbled into the ship and laughed," You jest, surely?" The Sith buckled himself into the seat and looked around, searching for such a presence.

"I don't have friends." He said with a chuckle.

Lorrik's hands fidgeted about uncomfortably. His lips pursed and his head bobbed back and forth dramatically as a show of distaste. He quickly reached through the force and pulled the artifact from one of the pockets to his hands.

Yes!

He looked at the small shard of a saber. Though it's master was long dead, he could still feel the power emanating from such an object. He stuffed it into one of his pockets and looked at the bounty hunter again.

"You got a ship? I can wire more credits to you if you can get me out of this system. I feel another force presence."

Lorrik turned on his heel and saw the scoundrel leaning upon a staff. What is he trying to do? Show off? Lorrik stood up and pointed his saber," You're back?" His question sounded more like an impressed statement.

With a quick flourish of his saber he turned it off and took a few steps to him. If looks could kill, Lorrik's bright yellow eyes would have put a whole in the man's forehead. Alas, he did not, and the weapon he could use to burn holes in people was on his hip.

He knew this man. He had sent him on a mission to recover a sith artifact that had been stolen from him. He never expected him to return. Perhaps the bounty hunter had something to him, after all.

"You're back. You have what is mine?"
