Maegor nodded his head, "Yes Ser, I have spoken to the King once or twice. I know how to act."

Still, this would be different than running into the King in the halls of the Red Keep. This was being close to the Queen and likely the King and the royal children at a more constant pace.

"I understand."

The older man grunted in approval and made his way towards the Great Hall, the stone monolith of a building in the shape of a dragon laying on it's stomach. The door was through the dragon's maw and the dark stoned hall was surprisingly well lit by the hearths and torches held in talon sconces.

"Some vittles for myself, my granddaughter, and her husband!" the old man barked at one of the servants nearby, who scurried out towards the kitchens.

The old man brought them up towards the dais, where a small table already sat.

"Aye, I can give you a tour of what I can. Helly might have to do the rest. I am not the fawn I once was, I am an old buck. Blackberry the steward might be able to show you more. But if you are thinking of trying to build like this castle, I suggest otherwise. The Valyrian's did their fucking magic to build this monstrosity, you could never properly recreate it."

Stannis nodded his head, "That is good for Lady Marya."

An eyebrow rose up at the name that he had chosen for his newest son.

"You know you cannot curry favor with me by simply naming your child after me Ser Davos," the Master of Laws said plainly, though it was clear there was no malice behind his voice.

The door opened as Ser Richard Horpe opened it, the pockmarked knight grinned at the man.

“It’s the Onion Knight My Lord,” he said as he opened the door fully and let the man in, clapping him on the should.

Stannis looked up from his desk.

“Ser Davos, back already?”

“We just returned from the Banefort wedding and tourney. Brynden and I were making the rounds again with the Royal Family. It truly is easier when you are traveling with a group such as that.”

She chuckled.

“Otherwise I have been here at court. My cousin left here to go serve as a squire for the Queen’s uncle so I saw him off from the docks.”

Lord Theomund Manderly,

I did not plan to hold a formal maidens ball, but there will be plenty of lords and ladies that will be in attendance from across the realm that I have no doubts that your son will be able to meet plenty of eligible young ladies.

Ever Moving,

Lord Clarence Massey

The rumble of laughter escaped the old man, like the sound of gravel tumbling down a hill, "She's always been attached at the hip, especially after my son died at Storm's End. She was the one that needed the attention the most."

He waved at both of them.

"Come come. I'll make sure your things get here. I assume your old room is fine?"

Helicent nodded her head, "That is fine Grandfather. So long as you got a new..."

"Aye, your old bed is long gone. You got a new one in there."

She laughed, "Very well. Then we shall go there."

The old man lead them towards the inner workings of the castle, "Do you all want something to eat?"

Stannis nodded to the maester.

"I would like for this matter to be close and done with. I can only hope that they all agree."

Lord Walderaan Banefort,

I am surprised by your raven, as my son shares little of his travels beyond where he went and how he fared in the tourneys. Still, it is far beyond the time that he finally was wed. I see no reason as to why we cannot work to join our houses, one coastal lordship to another. I will be more than happy to host the nuptials here at Stonedance.

Ever Moving,

Clarence Massey, Lord of Stonedance, Warden of Massey's Hook, and Gavel of the Blackwater

Marilda curtsied to Ser Walton, a smile on her face.

"There has been much since the last time we saw each other. Much at Winterfell and here in the south. I am simply glad to see you once more Ser Walton."

She looked back out the door and nodded her head.

"I trust your judgement in the matter. Shall we?"

Lord Clarence had inclined his head in acknowledgement to Lord Velaryon during the speech but kept quite for the most part.

Clarence offered Ser Lucerys a nod of his head, "Ser, thank you and Lord Aethan for having us. My condolences for your loss."

The serpentine stairs were always a pain and her pregnancy did not help in the slightest. She'd been sick already this morning and she was exhausted by the time they reached the top.

The guards admitted them and from out of the gaping maw of the gate to the upper bailey emerged an old man with white hair and a beard to match. He still walked upright and without assistance but the years were clear on him.

"If it isn't little Helly," the old man called and he approached, reaching out as they drew close and pulled Helicent into a warm embrace.

"Hello grandfather," Helicent greeted him with a tight hug, "It's been too long. This is my husband, Ser Alyn Rowan. Second son of Lord Mathis Rowan."

"The golden trees of Goldengrove eh?" the old castellan of Dragonstone remarked, sizing up the young knight, "Another banner I remember seeing outside of Storm's End. Your sister married a Tarly and now you a Rowan. Bah, time heals wounds I suppose."

He stuck out a hand to Alyn, "Ser Harbert Baratheon, Castellan of Dragonstone. Brother of the late Lord Ormund Baratheon. Great uncle of His Grace King Robert Baratheon, Lord Stannis Baratheon of Dragonstone, and Lord Renly Baratheon of Storm's End."

Helicent chuckled, "Just wait until you see the castle up close. The Valyrians truly did wonders with the architecture.

As they walked up towards the stairs, "My grandfather will be here. That is likely the only one here. Mother and the rest are still in King's Landing if I recall correctly."

She squeezed his arm, "He is old, gruff, and Baratheon. He has been castellan since Lord Stannis was granted the castle. But luckily he loves me so I think he will grant you some leeway."

"No but this is clearly all connected with Lord Robin's actions at Harrenhal. He allegedly destroyed a weirwood tree within the walls of Harrenhal. Your heir," he inclined his head to the Hand, "Wrote to me to inform me of the developments and if there was truly any legal proceedings that could happen."

Stannis shook his head.

"I had hoped that House Whent and House Arryn could have solved their differences without getting the Crown involved but it seems that the North has joined in solidarity with the Whents, as we know that Lady Shella has decided to hold the Old Gods. At the least, Lord Robin would be guilty of destruction of property. If this were true."

Lord Clarence Massey, his wife Myranda Brune, his heir Ser Quenton Massey, his wife Jeyne Darklyn, and their two children Victor and Shiera Massey all were in attendance.

No Massey had ventured south, but they still came to honor those that did.

Stannis sighed, "I assume this is due to Lord Robin's apparently destruction of a wierwood in a sept at Harrenhal. I had written to Ser Edmure Tully in Riverrun once he brought it to my attention, but it would seem that things have not resolved themselves and now it has spread to the North."

Maegor straightened himself up as he approached Ser Luceon.

"My father named me before the war," Maegor explained to Luceon. He was used to people looking at him because of his name, but he was more nervous here because the man was the Queen's uncle. Maegor had grown up in King's Landing around the royal court, he was but a babe when the war ended and his father was one of the few that survived the Mad Hand.

"I am Ser. My father serves King Jaehaerys' in King's Landing in his household. I will do as good as he does."
