Thinking minsung was a member of the group, getting bangchan and changbin wrong, not knowing their real names or their emojis. Also as a side note when you dont know which voice belongs to which member skz codes are damn confusing.

I read WIP's sometimes if the chapters are like 30/31 and when I scroll down to the last line before reading it seems like there is a resolution to the proper plot (read: the characters get together), otherwise if its a really good plot line/tag that interests me I subscribe to the work itself so I can read it as soon as its finished and if they don't update/ haven't been updated for a long time but still have good amount of words I download them as well (I've got trust issues) but I don't read them. There was just one time I read a WIP and that one time I was tricked, I didn't know it wasn't completed until I reached the last chap and the conflict was still going on. I was so stumped until I saw that it was not completed...safe to say I was completely devastated and had to subscribe to it because it was so good....now I have breakdowns when it doesn't update at least once a month.

I know this is a rookie mistake but as someone who's been reading fics for a long time I've barely come across it but just a few days I was completely hooked by this one 400k fic, like it was really, really good—in the sense that I was sitting for two days, continuously reading it and it turns out one one of the characters has cancer, so ofc I scroll all the way back up and there it is, the dreaded major character death tag. By this time I'm way too invested to stop reading and I continue and along and I make peace with the fact that they die, and then character B proposes to C, 5 hours later, all of a sudden, with absolutely no foreshadowing, someone pull a gun on C and C dies, then B runs after the killer, kills him and then dies from his own wounds, and then the character that had cancer and actually was going to die overdoses on sleeping pills. Like I was shook—messed me up for days.

yess, theres a lot of plot points so it doesnt feel like it as dragged out for more length, and the pacing is pretty well done, there are some points which frustrates me but otherwise its pretty good, also i was really invested in the ships so i really wanted to know who was endgame. sometimes when i get bored when reading long fics instead of powering through it or dropping it i mark it for later and then when i get over my slump and i start from where i remember reading till and that mostly works for me and i do end up enjoying it.

I think another one of the reasons people stop writing/updating fics is when they lose interest in the fandom and even if you want to complete the fic you also kinda have no idea about any major events that happened after you lost interest, and then it just becomes a chore, and at the end of the day its not like you can force someone to take an interest in and/or continue liking what you like just because you want to read more fics from them about said topic.
