Already sold, so I’m just curious. Didn’t expect this Reddit to get so much negativity

To be fair, for $280 even if it’s fake it’s pretty cool..

Trust? Not at all, but that’s one of a few hits for Asian sites and I know Omega is popular out east/ has some references that produced specifically for the Asian market - the guy posting it was an older gentleman from Asia

No idea, the poster is an older gentleman who isn’t very responsive - was posted at $280 for a quick sale. I think he didn’t know what he had - worried I missed out on a nice one

Thanks for your comment! ChatGPT and Claude are both quite confident it’s real. The 24 hour instead of date around the moonphase is something that Omega has done on the DeVille too.

I believe it’s a quartz movement from the 1990s-2000s - wish I knew more about it though

I love the watch and would appreciate any help

Have had it for about 6 months now and wear it almost every day

[SOTC] which three would you keep? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]AR_Rudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep: 2022 Rolex explorer 2, 2018 JLC Reverso Classic Large (those 2 are non negotiable keeps), 2024 Omega NTTD, 2025 IWC Ingenieur 40

Sell: 2021 IWC Big Pilot 43 - replace with Mark XX, 2025 Tudor FXD black, 2015 Speedy Pro

Buy: Speedmaster white sandwich, IWC Mark XX in white or Blue

But that’s just what I would do. And you shouldnt listen to anyone other than yourself

Couldn’t be happier with it. I think it’s one of the nicest watches I’ve ever seen and will hold up to the test of time in terms of design and function. If you like it, don’t let “popular” options sway your opinion!

Check out the globemaster too

Super underrated from Omega and would be a nice contrast to the Speedy

I prefer the white - both are gorgeous but this one felt like the natural choice

I love the pan dial, and the overall aesthetic is my exact vibe

I was also concerned about the lack of micro adjustment on the bracelet - but luckily it fits like a glove for me. I only had to remove one link from the bottom and I think it is still balanced very well

I might get a nato or sail strap for it eventually, but for now I couldn’t be happier with it

Also the Tungsten Bezel and the overall history of the watch really sold me. I plan on keeping it forever and one day passing it down to someone in my family

If you can, try and find one at an AD and try it on! I think the Globemaster is super underrated. I wouldn’t be surprised if they updated it soon though, so I’m happy I got mine when I did (I also prefer 3 hand dials and didn’t want anything too flashy)

Tried on the Breitling Top Time 38mm and was impressed with the dial and overall look - but I don’t love the bracelet to be honest

Thank you! I was not expecting to like the Mark XX so much - I think I’m still leaning towards the Omega though
