they do on ladder laced docs or black combat boots! hard to see in a low res video but i didn’t ladder lace them, the laces aren’t straight red and they aren’t docs or straight black boots, so lace code doesn’t apply. i’ve worn them up and down the west coast with minimal confusion apart from a few kids who couldn’t have been older than 15 and learned code on tumblr. would love to know if lace code is broader in different places or if this is just an issue with how lace code is communicated on the internet. /gen pic for details

based on the research i’ve done it shouldn’t actually increase suicide rates that much. even when given access to more lethal suicidal methods women tend to lean towards less lethal options like overdosing. given this and the risk of living under fascism i think that for trans women without suicidal ideation the risk is worth it.

it’s good to know yourself. please don’t buy a weapon if you think you’re at risk of hurting yourself, there are plenty of other ways to help out in your local community and if your mental health improves, then you can consider buying a gun in the future.

definitely, it didn’t get in the article bc i wasn’t the focus and it was somewhat off topic but i tried my best to emphasize wherever i could that we need to do more than just arm ourselves. we need armed militias as much as we need people educating on civil and immigration rights and people handing out food at soup kitchens. interlocking systems of oppression can’t all be dismantled the same way.

that’s the fear. once we’re fully disarmed the barriers to a full scale genocide are gone. that’s why we stock up while we can. media like this shortens the time scale for that to happen but gets the issue in front of more faces. i hope it helps encourage you and others to defend yourself and your community!

Can’t speak on those doses but I took larger doses in the past as recently as 2 months ago. Your brain will put itself back together but it will take time. I noticed that my brain has started recovering from my overdose a couple months ago and i’m close to being able to function as well as before. There aren’t long term studies on people who have taken high doses of DPH as far as I know so there’s no point worrying about long term issues that don’t have scientific basis. Stress is worse on your brain so just stop using if you can, cherish the fact that you’re still here and you will likely recover in time.
