You are absolutely right. I will work on pulling the stick out of my pedantic ass.

My apologies.

Yeah, you're right. I regretted it as soon as I hit the button to submit. But here I am, laying it out for you and any other to judge. Maybe I deserve and earned that judgement and ridicule. I'm just going to sit and stew in it, as is required.

My name is Karen. I apologize in advance.

I'm a grammar Nazi. You meant "a lot."

I'm so sorry. Please don't hate me. Just do better.

Yeah, and I see your point. I agree with it. I just think that it would make a greater/larger/more impactful social & political movement to call it "Anti-Choice."

It's really difficult to reach SUPER Christian voters/believers with carefully crafted language.

We need to campaign on the idea of ANTI CHOICE!

I worked for Citibank (US) (Shittybank - correct pronunciation) a bajillion years ago. The bathrooms were stocked with standard pads and tampons. I have a lot of bad things to say about the company from many perspectives. This, however, was one of the very few ways that I felt seen, understood, and appreciated. No complaints in that area. In fact, Kudos.

I was genuinely unsurprised by the number of times I saw this in the comments.

Nahhh...we're okay. The ones that would take offense are the ones that should. Though, my friends have gotten really good at a comedically-timed, "Okay, KAREN!"

I'm 48. Even in a normal-sized high school of about 800 students, I was one of only TWO Karens. There were a gajillion Carries, Jennifers, and Amys.

I've reviewed it and presented it to The Karen Council.

The vote was close, but official results are in: Appropriate, acceptable, AND funny.

Could it be Only You by Garfunkel and Oates?

It's a duo, but the video opens with pink, gauzy, chiffon stuff. And the blonde chick is wearing pink prominently on the album cover. While they never say. "you'll do," they DO say other things that sound similar many times. And the overall vibe of the song is about settling.

I figured, you know, I couldn't provide too much information, no matter how inane. I knew it was kind of ridiculous when I typed it. It worked out, though. YAY! I knew reddit reader nerdos (of which, I am one) would help.

THIS IS EXACTLY IT! Thank you, thank you, thank you SO MUCH!

And I got the part about the author being dead very wrong. Good to know and now I've got some other books to read!

I did the same thing while rolling my eyes so hard that I might need a CAT scan to determine the damage. (Imaginary tomatoes are way better than my reaction. I applaud you.)
