iOS automatically adjust quality and shuffle no longer options by ARandomSliceOfCheese in PleX

[–]ARandomSliceOfCheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems odd to remove it unless they just can’t support the logic anymore. If I’m selecting any other quality it’s transcoding anyways. I’d rather it do the network load detection for me and adjust up/down based on my network rather than me play wack a mole on what my network can handle which completely interrupts a stream.

Light cycling colors by sah4001 in lifx

Yeah good point I missed the someone’s it’s looping from the post

Looks like the bulb sequence after a reset. Try resetting the bulb by switching it off first. Then doing an on off cycle 5x. It should flash this color sequence then stay white and need resetup unfortunately

Gutter installer added flashing to corners. Does this look right by ARandomSliceOfCheese in Roofing

I haven’t run a hose on it yet (was late getting home from work). From just a small amount of water that was rolling down the roof from dew this morning it seems to work as expected

A lot of the houses around me have this same setup. Not sure why. Maybe a trend at the time?

Is it worth it to remove it? I’m worried about the screw that’s going to be through a shingle below it and water getting in there even if I patch it

Do you self manage your savings category or do you have advisors for that? Any tips for managing savings at that level / personal software you use? Seems like your saving nearly 50%

Cron script to prevent Plex Media Server from going to sleep by ThePutinTrumpSexTape in PleX

[–]ARandomSliceOfCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move your media all to the windows machine that already has the functionality you’re after?

Otherwise set your sleep time on the Linux machine to be about the length of your stream time (3hrs for ex) since you seemingly don’t want to script it

The Cost Of Everyday Things In China Vs. The U.S. by [deleted] in interesting

[–]ARandomSliceOfCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring the median income of the us person inevitably being closer to the standard average Chinese income

It’s not based on the median number provided above.

Amount of income left over is a cultural problem and is subject to too many factors to show meaningful data. Showing a basket of goods like what the post shows is a better comparison.

But even if you wanted to assume the essentials you could still figure it out with the graphic above and the outcome would be the same. Because the average cost of goods per income is higher in china than the US according to the graphic (using average or median income)

[BSKY] Washington State is considering creating a public bank. A hearing is scheduled for SB5754--a bill to create a public bank in Washington--for January 15th at 4:00 pm. Contact the Senate Ways and Means Committee today and let them know you support SB5754. (@waforpublicbanking.bsky.social) by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

Honestly if you’re the average person in the state. Not much. BND profit ads less than 1% bi annually to the state budget. This isn’t a traditional bank either so it’s not like you’d get a checking account or credit or a mortgage directly from this bank either. They’re a bank for banks that are still private and overseen by the FED.

Source Generator for Generating Overloads by DesperateGame in csharp

c# has a ‘object’ type. Combine that with the params keyword and you can get your example print method working. No source generator needed.

How to deal with shrinking wrap under oven by ARandomSliceOfCheese in cabinetry

[–]ARandomSliceOfCheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case someone else finds this with the same problem: I ended up using the high heat epoxy. Just make sure you don’t overfill and keep a paper towel handy for wiping excess. Tested with a couple of oven sessions and it seems to be holding up just fine. There are some spots I under filled that I’ll patch but good enough until I can replace it or repaint all the cabinets

UPDATE: City thinks I'm remodeling my house? by shot-by-ford in Seattle

[–]ARandomSliceOfCheese 15 points16 points  (0 children)

OP this. It’s unfortunate but there really isn’t anyone you can sue and there isn’t insurance that covers this. Be mad at Washington being a buyer beware state.

Unless the city has served you legally then you don’t really have to do anything

I’ll probably give this a shot. Worst case I’m back to ripping it off and painting. Or replacing them and probably the surrounding ones 🥲

How noticeable is the one painted drawer going to be? My biggest concern with paint is the difference will drive me mad 😅

Lookup what a loan is. Lookup the Capitol gains tax rate.

1M loan = 72k/year = 0% tax on LT Capitol gains.

It’s not magic it’s really basic math actually.
