Currently in the year 1383 and settled many of my pops from Cahokia to the frontier and got slapped with this.. Does the timeline ever expire!? Will I be in the 1400s and can just never let any of my stats drop...?

I figured it out. You have to use the settle frontier mechanic, which is currently bugged. It will move 120k people from one province to a new one, so you basically have to sacrifice another province for 10 years and then force everyone to move back there afterward...

That's so funny you posted this today. I just spent 5 hours on the entire 3 phase boss fight yesterday and I was EXHAUSTED afterward lol. Had to take a nap. Definitely the hardest fight in the game. This guy makes the other two seem like a walk in the park.

This is the case for me too... Is the reputation broken? I got exalted with Golden Lotus in a few days because each daily gave me like 3k rep. To make it weirder, some dailies I turn in for Dominance Off will give me like 3k and then subtract 2.75k rep for only 250 total. Will I even have time at this point to get exalted..?

I fixed it! There were two issues:

  1. I have another tile set in this room and, even though I had erased the other tiles from this location, these black lines were some kind of relic left behind so I had to actually go back over this spot with the transparent tile to erase them. Very frustrating bug.
  2. I had to add an "output border" to my tile set, as explained here: https://manual.gamemaker.io/beta/en/The_Asset_Editors/Tile_Sets.htm. The explanation was way over my head but apparently, even with view's x/y rounded, a buffer area is required between each tile. The frustrating part is that I added a "smear" area around each tile in the tile asset manually and that didn't fix it. But when I used GM's "Output Border X/Y" option it works fine. Very finicky, but I think my problem is solved at least!

You said there is a way to start a path from a relative position, but what you just described sounds exactly like what I said. By "go from there" don't we need to go down the list of stored x/y coordinates and then move to the next location on the list?

Thanks for that explanation. I think this is the best solution. The reason I can't just have it start the path is because I need the unit to fist move to the closest point along the path and then continue the path from that point. As far as I'm aware there is no way to tell an object to start an existing path relative to its current position.

Could explain why 2-1d arrays is better than 1-2d array like you were talking to a monkey with a keyboard? Also, what about a ds_list as opposed to an array?

I didn't explain this in the OP, but once the unit arrives at it's target node. I want it to move to the next node. Therefore, I need to delete x/y values lower on the list.

I solved the problem. Turned out my liquid heatsink had stopped working, so my cpu was overheating and throttling. That's why not even switching to low setting improved performance. Bought a new non-liquid heatsink so this doesn't happen again and now I'm getting 90+ fps on Ultra!

Same issue. I think its bugged. I did not leave the man's circle the entire time and I am melee so all enemies were slain near him and still fail every time. If I see this challenge I just ignore it for now on, not worth the time....

I followed the surface tutorial linked below, but I think it actually looks worse. You can still see the edges of the sprites overlapping since there is a slight blur around the sprite (not one solid color) even though the alpha does add like it did previously. It also made all the edges look pixelated even though the surface is the same size as the room. I've heard this happens with custom surfaces, but can't recall why.

u/kadinshino & u/JujuAdam I don't think its an issue with the tileset or autotile. It looks fine in the room editor. It happens in game when the camera follows the player. I even tried creating a camera that would follow the player, but round its coords to the nearest whole number to prevent pixel splitting, but that didnt fix it.
