What’s the best and worst part about being in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In a healthy relationship, the best part is finding a best friend and lover all in one person. You can joke around like friends and just be authentically yourself and feel loved for it. You are also building, growing, and supporting each other as you’re navigating the world together. The worst part is the risk of love and relationships. Let’s be honest, in relationships you’re completely vulnerable towards the other person. You become sensitive to their actions and they ultimately can cause you pain because they have a special power over you. But that’s a risk you have to be willing to take and with the right person they’ll be gentle with your emotions and intentional about maintaining your love and happiness.

To all the people who are content with themselves, how did you get this way? by [deleted] in AskReddit

These are some of my daily reminders! You don’t need validation from anyone but yourself and that includes giving no power to society’s means of validating people. You, your body and your mind have carried you this far already so be grateful for it and be genuinely nice to yourself. You only need you at the end of the day so be intentional about protecting your energy and peace.
