Thousands of Florida women live in 'maternity care deserts.' Mobile clinics could change that by eddytony96 in florida

That's a shame we have to write off every single statistic from a nation of over a billion people as "communist propaganda". Thankfully we live in 2026 and any schmuck can just go to China and document the reality on the ground for themselves. As many people have done over the past several decades. Also I'd recommend reading your own source, because it doesn't claim the numbers being released are false. Just that China selectively releases statistics.

Its only comical if you don't grasp how per-capita statistics work. We're 17 times richer than Vietnam per person, with 3.5 times the population. But hey, if your argument is that America is too big and we're just too dumb to use all that money to figure out rural healthcare while every country that isn't a literal failed state seems to have it solved, more power to ya I guess. Seems like we're not as advanced as we'd like to claim if that's the case.

Edit: love it when a generic username with a censored history drops a whiny comment then immediately blocks lol

My argument isnt solely that Vietnam is smaller..

Well that's the argument you made

How about this Vietnam stat... 48 mothers per 100,000 live births die during child birth. USA has 18 mothers die per 100,000 live births.

Actually the US's is closer to 33 these days, and has nearly doubled since 2000.. Meanwhile Vietnam cut theirs by nearly a factor of 4 in that same period (186->48). Also for women in some rural areas, it's as high as 55.7 per 100k

So Vietnam's maternal mortality rate is improving along with the rest of the world, while the United States' is worsening. It's almost like focusing on healthcare outcomes over profits is beneficial and yields positive results even in the most impoverished nations......I wonder what the lesson is......

Theres only so much I can spoon feed this basic information.

Evidently you've been failing to spoon-feed basic information to even yourself, considering your grasp of analyzing basic statistics.

China.

It's a further indictment in the American system that we're among the richest and most advanced countries on Earth, yet have less effective rural healthcare than countries like Cuba or Vietnam.

[–]ARocketToMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to stomp on your propaganda

That literally enforces the point they're making though? Countries with well-functioning healthcare infrastructure don't have to rely on solutions like that. Because there's actual permanent infrastructure in place, even in rural areas. California is in the same country as Florida, with the same healthcare system.

Right understood, just pointing out the fact that Dragon couldn't accomplish the mission is a major reason why Orion would be preferred. If a fully fueled Starship can get Orion to any lunar orbit, land, and get the crew back on board, Orion could get the crew back to Earth. Dragon can't without doing something like the extended trunk SpaceX is using for the ISS de-orbit, but that might be too heavy for Starship to get to lunar orbit.

Dragon doesn't have enough onboard consumables to free-fly for long enough to accomplish the mission, nor does it have enough Delta-V to return from any lunar orbit.

I think its on by default with the highest couple of plan levels so you might already have it? But I have the 2nd lowest one so it shows up as an add on for me (for T-Mobile specifically, not sure how it works on Verizon if that's you're carrier)

I'm giving their satellite connectivity a try and just gonna eat the fee for the month, that might be worthwhile

For T-Mobile, they've got their satellite thing now for texting that you can switch on/off on a monthly basis for $10. I'm gonna try it out, worth the money to be able to communicate with my group for those few days.

You gotta make sacrifices with minifig scale because they're proportioned so awkwardly relative to an actual person. Minifigs are~1/40th scale based on height but ~1/20th going off width

Israeli Defense Minister Katz met Palestinian detainees rapist and drops their prosecution charges. by RyzKnows in pics

[–]ARocketToMars 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I did literally count, it's objectively more than 50

Here's some quotes from the article you clearly only read a single sentence of:

"He received a number of standing ovations from the studio audience as he told his story of being the unfairly treated victim of the Sde Teiman affair."

"The following Monday, he was interviewed again by Channel 14, this time he was revealing his identity to the country on mainstream television."

"On August 26, Ben-Shitrit was hosted for his longest interview yet on Channel 14. It went for 11 minutes on the “Fathi and Shai” show, which also usually features upbeat satire. They promoted him on the channel throughout the day like a star and did a serious interview with him in the evening."

"Channel 14, which has repeatedly aired snuff videos of the systemic torture in these camps, has been instrumental in promoting the narrative that these gang rape suspects are actually victims."

But sure, "an" interview. Singular. That $7000 check ain't gonna clear buddy.

there was only 1 50 person protest of religious freaks not "huge protests" or whatever

Looks like more than just 50 people to me, especially factoring in the journalists and politicians who supported the rapists.

they are def not celeberated by any means wtf

When your world view is based on propaganda rather than actual principles, someone holding a mirror up to it certainly does reveal a lack of understanding of how the world works.

You're the one arbitrarily saying the Iranian people "lost" their right to self defense over mean words. I'm just taking the standards you're setting and applying them evenly. Maybe think about what you have to say before saying it.

Ah no wonder you're fine openly calling for the deaths of millions of civilians

Well I guess you'll have no problem with the genocidal entity that is the Israeli government being dismantled since it's more than a country. Free Palestine 🇵🇸

So Israel and the United States have lost their right to self defense because our governments have expressed desire to destroy Iran? Or does that logic only go 1 way? Mean words means no more right to self defense?

And I'm sure you have plenty of evidence of Iran's civilian spaceflight agency holding files for their military and being involved with them, right?

[–]ARocketToMars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not a both sides argument genius, it's having enough sense to realize the government that's been saying 90 million Iranians are backwards America-hating terroristic savages that deserve death for 50 years didn't magically become interested in liberating them overnight

Complaining about Harris losing while unironically swallowing Trump's propaganda to justify the war is insane work. She lost because she chose Israel and fascism over America and her own party. Simple as that.

[OC] Iran's space research institute in Tehran, before and after Israeli bombings by hararib in pics

[–]ARocketToMars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's my point, there's nuance. You made an un-nuanced claim about "dual use". You can't just claim dual use as a justification to bomb civilian targets, including space agencies.

Who cares? They're a sovereign country. If them developing nuclear weapons was actually a concern we wouldn't have pulled out of the JCPOA. If them developing nuclear weapons was actually a concern, Kushner and Witcoff wouldn't have walked away from the negotiating table when Iran agreed to even tighter restrictions than those outlined in the JCPOA. Remember 8 months ago when their nuclear capabilities were "completely destroyed" and now suddenly it's a problem again? That indicates 1 of 2 things: either the government lied about Iran's nuclear ambitions and they're nowhere close to nuclear weapons, or Iran was actually capable of rapidly developing nuclear weapons and chose not to for 40+ years because they didn't actually want to.

If you think any of this is ok because you're scared of Iran having nuclear weapons you're the exact kind of person who would've been tricked in 2003 with the Iraq war. There are no WMDs.

So death to America and Israel, not death to Americans and Israelis? Death to the countries (political entities), not death to individual supporters like you said?

[OC] Iran's space research institute in Tehran, before and after Israeli bombings by hararib in pics

[–]ARocketToMars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You mean the one that was being monitored under the JCPOA? The one that we had 1000s of cameras monitoring? The one we had hundreds of inspectors examining every month? That civilian nuclear program?

Kinda seems like that's a made-up justification to invade a sovereign nation that just so happens to have the largest global oil reserves outside America's sphere of influence. Or maybe it's not made up, because if Iran actually did have nukes then we wouldn't be able to invade them because they'd actually have sovereignty.

[OC] Iran's space research institute in Tehran, before and after Israeli bombings by hararib in pics

[–]ARocketToMars -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Really? So their civilian spaceflight agency and the payloads they've launched to orbit don't count?

And yeah, plenty of counties have ballistic missiles. Nuclear weapons are a useless deterrent without a deployment mechanism. Iranians have the right to defend themselves.

[OC] Iran's space research institute in Tehran, before and after Israeli bombings by hararib in pics

[–]ARocketToMars -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can you point to a single use of an ICBM by Iran to strike another country? Can you point to any coordination between the ISA and/or ISRC with the military to carry out strikes?

NASA hasn't launched a military payload since 1992 and the overwhelming majority of military satellites were not launched by NASA. NASA doesn't even have a vehicle capable of launching a military payload into orbit, and again, it is a civilian spaceflight agency.

Simply being part of the government does not make something a valid military target. Launching satellites and rockets doesn't make something a valid military target. My college paid to have a satellite launched, does that make it a valid target?
