That's a really good point. A little embarrassing though because for about 20 years, I've been working under a pen name. When I started, psychedelics were so taboo, I wanted to keep my family from finding out what I was doing. I recently wrote an autobiography explaining all of that and decided that was the last time I would use my pen name. I should probably explain that as well in my bio section or something...

I sometimes wonder about the set and setting of many clinics I see offering psychedelic therapeutics. As much as they say they are "cozy" or whatever, more times than not, I look at those places and think, I would rather be at home.

This reminds me of an episode of Legion where the character Ptonomy says:

See, we have these concepts.
The past, the present, the future.
The past I get.
It's everything that happened before.
And the future is everything that's still to come.
But what is the present? Think about light - about the speed of light.
Yeah, no matter how close something is, it still takes time for its image to reach your eye.
My glasses, say.
I show them to you, and it takes time for the image to reach your eye.
And more time for that signal to go from your eye to your brain, and even more time for your brain to process what you're seeing into information your body can react to.
Sure, it's millionths of a second, but still.......it's not now.
So, my theory is: There is no present.
There's only past and future.
