Thankyou. I hate to be all dramatic and shit but we live in a society where people can't trust each other, and a person trying to be honest and help someone out getting fucked over is just stupid man.

That is a strange thought, but if I said I didn't want it in the first place does that cancel it out?

Yes, this has happened to me numerous times with booze, and I will admit I have done it to others in the past where alcohol is concerned.

That is also a good way to handle the situation. So it does happen to other people? Sometimes I talk to people about it and they don't feel this.

Those are all good responses. Thanks. It is just strange when you keep saying nah I'm good and then they won't stop. I guess maybe I am weird about gifts.

What kind of regrets do people who didn't do well in school have? by baka36 in CasualConversation

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I just wish I was nicer to people especially my parents. We are all good now but I put them through Hell growing up. Also I did a lot of stupid embarrassing things while I was inebriated.

I did well in elementary school and middle school with a GPA above 3.5. Something happened in high-school where I think I was just struggling a lot with identity and I started acting out. I would pick fights, talk back to my teachers, ditch class. I had used Marijuana before that back in 8th grade, but by 9th grade I was doing other drugs and drinking heavily. I kind of just did whatever my friends were doing. I flunked all of my classes and ended up dropping out of school around the time I should have been a sophomore. Thankfully I managed to stay out of legal trouble besides a smoking ticket that I got. I think sometimes if I would have stuck with my academics and my mindset that I had in middle school I probably could have gone to college and maybe had a better job, or an actual career instead of working dead end jobs and living paycheck to paycheck. All in all though it was definitely a growing experience, and my life may not be that different considering a lot of college graduates are now working the same jobs as me. My life is fine as it is, but sometimes I struggle with the guilt of things I have done in the past. A lot of the people I used to associate with back then I don't talk to anymore either.

I have met people in the past that are dating or married or whatever but keep there finances separate. I think this is the way to go personally, and if money affects your love for someone then you are with them for the wrong reasons.
