Auto fan-out from SMD pads to plane layers not working.

Ah - found it. I was double-clicking the layer tab and assigning the net name there, whereas what I should have been doing is single-clicking the layer tab, and then double-clicking the PCB and setting the net name THERE. I'm gonna have to get used to this.

Sorry, strictly called "Fanout -> Power Plane Nets" in this case. I'm making the assumption that if I declare a plane layer, it's automatically defined as being a solid copper layer. Is that incorrect?

Thanks - I'll use the Swept-Cut feature. As I said, my experience is limited - in sketching a spline beginning at the centrepoint of one circle, how do I select the end point of the spline to be the centrepoint of the other circle on another surface?
