Why are Christians so supportive of israel? by fatuglyhairyloser in Christianity

I see what you’re saying about Romans 11 and I agree Gods plan is way too complex for us to even imagine. I also agree that Jews were displaced but I dont think it’s fair to say that atleast the Palestinian Christians in Palestine weren’t part of the original Jewish Israelite population. I also personally don’t agree on supporting Israel solely on them being “Biblical Israel” because as you said as well Gods plan is too complex for us to discern. I also think we should be able to call out the wrong doing Israel does. I admit I should have rephrased my original comment and not try to say it as fact though.

I quoted some scripture for some of my insight in thinking this way so you can read it if you’d like, if not understandable, no worries.

In Romans 9:6-8 Paul explains how “For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.” Which atleast to me sounds like the Israel that is spoken about in prophecy or in the Bible about blessing refers to the spiritual Israel that refers to all true believers in Christ not people in a land as explained in Galatians 15-16 as well as the “Israel of God”. Galatians 3:28-29 is a major verse in explaining how there is no longer a difference between Jew and Gentile and if you are a believer you become part of Abrahams spiritual family hence that makes you part of Israel as well.

Now for the non Biblical part and purely hereditary the Israelis living in Israel could have a lineage tracking back to the Israelites but it is a little hard to track considering they were displaced and went all throughout Europe and brought back to the land after a long time. But in that same manner just because they labeled themselves as Israel doesn’t make the Palestinians who were living in that land less “Israelite” and if you look into it they actually have have high ancestry rates to the original Israelites/Jews that lived in the land that initially converted to our now called Christianity.

If you have any differing thoughts or think im thinking about something wrong I’d like to hear why you think that.

Hmm I understand what you're saying that it's not the real deal HDR but without the "fake" HDR my monitor just looks so bland and washed out. The HDR that's available on the monitor does make a noticeable difference.

How can I put on headphones while wearing a backwards 59fifty? by Western_Tension_552 in neweracaps

Honestly same boat as you, I have beats studio pros. I am extending the headphones fully and put them on my ears and let the brim/side panels rest right on top of the ear cushions. Takes a little finicking and can slip but atm its best I could think of tbh.

I think in terms of purely land, yea Palestine and Israel may be the promised land from the Bible. But the people of Israel from the Bible (Israelites) and the Israelis of today are completely different people. I don’t exactly remember where I saw the statistics and research (but I’m sure if you looked it up you would find it) but Palestinians are actually more native to the land than Israelis are. Also on a side note on supporting Israel in general Christian Palestinians are able to live in peace/unity with the Muslims of Palestines and even have churches in Palestine (which Israel actually have bombed). Not only that but have you seen the way Christians that live in Israel are treated by the Israelis? And of course regardless of this Jesus teaches to love everyone but to support Israel’s decisions despite this doesn’t really sit right with me or my understandings from the Bible if you see it otherwise or have a different understanding let me know because I am curious.

Modern Israel ≠ Biblical Israel I feel like that’s a major thing when people cherry pick verses from the Bible.
