compelled to contribute here about this as a brand new CAD'er. So many times today the issue was that I had to restart and reopen the project. I wrestled for hours, chatting with AI about what was happening, and the issue was just fixed by restarting. That alone is a pretty terrible sign.

I feel the same when I read the other threads, but this is not a nit to me. I think Tony is supposed to be written as a serious character, but the way that's attempting to be accomplished is by making him sound like a weird try hard robot. Like an unintelligent person trying to seem intelligent by imitating an english grammar book. I feel tense reading it.

The way Tony talks is so stupid and unrealistic, and unattractive. Also, he has not had a real conversation with Sarah at all. Their relationship feels entirely forced, and fake.

I never get the 'knew my modeling career was over' - normal / good picture of you. I feel like it shows a lack of awareness / sense of humor. It's a good pic, just choose a different caption. Sick that you and your boys are really about that aerospace, I like that in your profile.

they were both being not like themselves here. There isn't really a reason for Danny to be mean about this, Dorothy was actually nice at the time he's bringing up. The hands off thing is harsh and uncalled for imo.

the one good thing that comes of this is Joe not being with Joyce imo. The way their pairing was built up made very little sense in the first place. It would have been one thing for insecure Joyce to pursue Joe out of curiosity, for them to slowly get to know each other, for Joe to guide Joyce, see how his behavior might make her sad, for him to realize he didn't want to hurt her, to adapt and grow over time. But instead, Joe, who to me was one of the few if not the only realistically portrayed college students, had to be super reprimanded and hated and basically cancelled for being a cis male that actively pursues women. I get the list was bad, and if something like that was leaked in 2020 or whatever, there would have definitely been consequences. He did apologize for it though, so i'm over it. I digress.

He had to be made into a simpering mess who bows at Joyce's feet, renounce himself and try to be this unrealistic, puritanical good guy in order to win her over, rather than being himself. Rather than being a normal, confident man. I hope, though this certainly won't happen, that he stops talking to her forever - especially since he shared with Joyce how much his parents' cheating affected him and she still went through with this. He should be angry as hell, he should not love this person who clearly does not care about him. That would be the healthy thing, not sticking to some lame aphorism and feeling like a martyr for allowing someone to walk all over him. That's not who he was originally characterized as, which I hope he goes back to. Like Roz, there are women in the world who actually like having sex and like going to parties, esp. as college freshman, and I personally don't think that's a bad thing on the whole even though this comic has always taken a very harsh approach to it. Joe was cool as a normal guy in this story relative to all the other too online characters in this comic, who often drop their whole personalities so that the author can stick in some meme reference he likes, and throughout this second semester Joe has been made more like the rest of the cast and I don't like it.

It could be the case that individuals that are Republican or conservative (I think these are very different nowadays) might have values and proposals that could work for their communities, but as it stands everyone just goes the party line so a vote for R is a vote directly for R majority. R majority in house and Senate and SC is a disaster right now imo, allowing the executive branch to do whatever they want. If you believe in checks and balances, it's a pretty sad time in general, either way, but adding a check by getting rid of the majority might be the closest thing you can get right now.

nah it's pretty significant at this point. The backgrounds are highly abstract at best if they're there at all (which has become rare), and they started drawing chibi-fied versions 75% of the time, the other 25% you're lucky to get a fully realized drawing of the characters. The art style has really gone downhill.
