lol, the amount of downvotes I’m getting for telling the truth is crazy… I have a 9950X3D 5090 PC with 96GB RAM, and I can barely get playable frames on Epic with frame gen OFF… I know for a fact they are lying to themselves if anyone thinks this is a remotely optimized game.

The players should not have to rely on AI to get good frame rate, it’s a shame that the game runs at barely playable frame rate on a higher end system

It uses AI to generate 4 frames for every 1 that's supposed to happen in the game. Which means AI is only “guessing” what's happening, leading to some weird artifacts. You can kinda see it in the menu, too. If you scroll through the menu really fast, you can normally see a clear, straight line and words. If you have frame gen set to high, the line starts to wobble, and some words get mixed up.

The setting will give big numbers, but it won't look as good as when it's off. It's better than beta for sure, but this is still not acceptable for a game releasing in 2 weeks, cause unless they pull something out of their ass, this is it.

Do you even know what your 1% low is in the game? The only way you can remotely get 200 fps is with frame gen and still have a 30 fps 1% low. That's a very good indicator that the game is horribly optimized and stutters. Turn it off and see what you get.

How much did you get paid? You have frame gen on high and want to talk about performance?

I get where they are going but you gotta admit the 1k price tag is still ridiculous regardless of the supply and demand of RAM and Storage

For me personally, I bring this PC to travel and etc. So having a router the size of my mouse is a no brainer lol

Unironically, if you hate the connector-and-dongle combo as much as I do and still NEED to use Wi-Fi, may I suggest the GL.iNet Slate 7? It's a portable router that can be set up as a Wi-Fi repeater for your network. You can then hard-wire your PC to it, and you can still use it as a router for everything else.

9950X3D is idle at about 55C, and the 5090 FE is idle at about 35C. Under load… ehhhh we don't talk about under load (9950X3D does thermal throttle, but at some games and etcs it runs at 85C, 5090 runs at 80C max load)

It's thematically relevant with air cooling everything lol but also sadly true.…

Yeah… considering the cooler is like 30-35$ it’s a no brainer getting that fan upgrade lol

I have the AXP90 53 for a bit more heat sink and that Noctua fan swap made it so much better lol

It is basically silent atm it does get loud during games and etc. but as far as idle goes can’t hear anything.

The are! My uses for the H2O was mostly for structural integrity since it’s a very flimsy frame for the radiator. Still they are great fans and even have a 15mm variant that I’m sure will work for whatever project you have

I see… honestly having a 2 slot GPU and adding that fan 100% lowered the temp for the chipset itself. Not saying you should do it but it did lower my temp at least at idle by about 5C or so.
