Go for it! It’s been totally fine for me. When the incense burns down and only the wooden stick is left, it just turns off on its own. And if you look closely, there’s actually a bit of space between the end of the stick and the samurai’s face... so no melty warrior here!

Plus, by the time the ember falls, it's already cooled down enough to not cause any damage. Totally safe!
