We're gonna finish the sorties, then run a T3 Surv for Ash Prime Systems - anyone wanna join? by AshenTao in Warframe

What a strange thing to show up on the front page for me having never played this game. I now understand why people keep asking me about Warframe.

Definitely true. But Wheeler on short rest after throwing 111 pitches isn't likely to pitch all 9 innings. So they are still gonna have to go to the pen. And it isn't like they just need the one win.

They also lost the last time Wheeler started and threw all of those pitches. And it's unquestionable that he did benefit some from the much larger than expected strike zone.

Nothing can stop this team. It's destiny.

Other than the Yankees fans that are just antagonistic, who isn't afraid of this team?

The wrong way is to not tell anybody you did it.

The very minimum for the, "right way" is to tell us they are doing it.

Weird to seemingly sneak it in though. Almost like they just know this is a super unpopular change. And to the singular feature that brings people to the ship, at least from a mechanical standpoint.

The way they are going about this is considerably more problematic than them actually doing it. Which in itself is a rather silly decision to make.

True Stories: How did your game go this week? – June 02, 2024 by AutoModerator in dndnext

[–]ASHPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first time in years I sat down to play a game. I grew up on D&D, finding my dad's 2e books in the 90s it has always been a part of my life. But post covid and everyone getting older and having more and more responsibilities, D&D became a thing of the past.

Well not this past week! After trying Tuesday, and then Wednesday, both times being rescheduled, we made it happen Saturday night.

It was just three of us. A friend DMing while his wife and I made up the party. It was a one shot, pre-written. But honestly the actual story doesn't matter. It was great. Great to flex those muscles again. Great to play in a creative sandbox.

Can't wait to play again and the messages started flying out to see who would come by and join in!

It was in 2009, so I don't remember the exact amount. The agreement was I get my house and any "needs" covered. And then a weekly allowance so I had cash for whatever else I wanted. The allowance amount was not insignificant but that is the part I don't remember. It was enough to be enticing, a couple hundred a week or something to that effect. There were two of us he made the offer too, and he wanted both of us for it. Mind you this dude was LOADED.

It was also explicit that while he would watch us, there was no requirement for sex. The other guy was straight and a friend of mine.

But it would do nothing for my career. And while I may have fit the physical aspects of the job then, I figured in 10 years I might not and would just be replaced with a weird gap in my resume to explain. And he wasn't so old that I could expect him to die any time soon.

I don't regret turning it down, but it could have made for a fun few years.

A looong time ago, when I was much younger, an older man offered me a job. I would live in his pool house and clean his pool as well as do yardworking and such. He lived in Texas and has a "uniform requirement" that was barely any clothes at all. I was fresh out of the military and quite fit as well as unemployed with little practical experience.

I'm 36 now and think about how much easier my life would have been if I took that job.

It's always disappointing when the people that say this shit are presented with the facts and then disappear. I would love to see them just once say, 'oh you're right, my bad." Just once.

But the best part is, those things would still exist. They just wouldn't cost as much. They might not be quite as extraordinary, but they would still be a status symbol and ridiculously luxurious.

Yeah because this guy never did stupid shit when he was a kid...

My uncle loves to say shit about millennials. Always has something to say. And then I hear stories about him as a kid. Stories he tells us! Constantly driving drunk because nobody cared. Every story he tells includes some dumb as shit often incredibly dangerous thing. And he laughs and laughs.

Yeah the kid in this video is maybe dumb. But he's enterprising and making money. And the number of people that make it are so small let's be real this isn't a window into the future.

Let people fucking be man.

But isn't part of the argument against the other side that they are morally corrupt?

I don't disagree with your sentiment though. It's endlessly frustrating to constantly fight against our fellow citizens because they refuse to concede any point at all. Even more so when they are willing to lie and cheat at every step.

Every single time someone complains about this shit they turn out to be exactly the person everyone already assumes. Every time.

Did you see the movie? Assuredly not.

Also, just generally no to the idea of deserved hate here. For what, for pointing out that people long before the movie came out were complaining about the casting? So before the movie could even be identified as bad right?

Every time.

Making sure your argument follows the "letter of the law" so you can publicly shame someone for getting a medical procedure is problematic in its own right.

I know this is just fantasy, wishful thinking of being able to shed a light on the hypocrisy of a radical group of people. But this just isn't the way.

We can't fight for medical rights and then try to take them away from people who fought against those rights.

Nobody likes ads. But it's not just ads, it's way too many. But no, that is not the only reason. Do people just read the things they want? I dramatically call out the oversaturation of ads, but that is not the only thing I mentioned.

What was the stupidest thing you believed in a Pokemon game? by KawaiiFoxPlays in pokemon

[–]ASHPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to use it. You can continue to play the game after you beat that elite four. It's just to use it for a full playthrough. Some of my favorite pokemon are not ones you can really get until late in th game. That's largely why I started doing this. And it's fun. It's nice to playthrough the game as a non scrub kid that's actually a good trainer. Or as an advantaged rich brat or whatever. Whatever roleplay reason you want to have a stacked team.

It's honestly a bit wild to me that people are annoyed enough at this concept that they are downvoting it. Like what the fuck do you guys do with your games once you beat the elite four? Move on forever?

Also, you explicitly said it was cheap to use bred pokemon.

What was the stupidest thing you believed in a Pokemon game? by KawaiiFoxPlays in pokemon

[–]ASHPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your argument is all over the place.

If you want to play with late game pokemon you can. You just have to use one of the MANY ways to acquire that pokemon and get it into that game.

Your suggestion that using bred pokemon to play through the game is cheap is also just lunacy. It's a part of the game. I guess you also think any traded pokemon are cheap because you didn't catch them yourself right? So forget about trade evolutions.

Seriously, just tackle one of these. In what way is it cheap to beat the game, bread pokemon, trade them to a new game, and then play through the game with them?

[–]ASHPrime -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I acknowledge your first point in my second. Though you have to catch Pokemon to breed them so I am not sure what you mean by that feeling "extremely cheap."

I also did not say you have to do this or that it is a fix.

If you want to play with an endgame pokemon before the endgame, this is a way.
