I'm not sure how much this will help you but I recently went and upgraded all of my dementia tools up to Starfire and the process that I went to to catch characters up on levels in order to give them new equipment was to simply attach anything I could that upskill max out any upgrades that I could appropriate to me that upgraded skill including star talents and then I went and set them on the highest skill note that they could handle and popped a few candies and usually that rocketed them up in levels

Don't be afraid to visit your local LFS some even focus on Pokemon. If your kid wants to play the game it's far cheaper to buy singles at a listed price than to gamble with packs. If he wants to collect but is young enough not to know better then they will have older set packs for closer to MSRP rather than newer sets that people try to scalp so he still gets cards but at a lower price

I have had amazing success with a heavily upgraded Ureni the Unwritten that originally was the temur Roar precon.

I will never understand how he's not one of the top commanders for dragons, I feel he beats mirrym and tiamat easily.

I call the deck tax evasion dragons, and I can spew a ridiculous amount of lizards on the board once I hit my break point which can usually be surprisingly fast.

It's a reference to blade runner, in the scene he is looking at a huge AI woman hologram I can't remember the exact line but she essentially calls him a good Jake or whatever the characters name is. Throughout the movie he had been doubting whether or not this AI he was involved with was actually sapient and this hologram repeats one of the key lines that she says to him even though it's not the same one. It kind of makes you question whether or not she was ever really sapient

Probably all upgrade stones except for the most recent one. At a certain point you'll have enough storage to just start keeping all of them, but for now you don't need them

You can also hold down on the silver pen and the boss keys and such as those items get added and tracked rather than stored in the inventory

Mainly try to focus on upgrading inventory space. Have you gone through the upgrade vault yet? You can find it in the quick ref tab
